No, I didn't go to SJFF but you probably realized that by now :D. I wouldn't be much help with beating Steve at four square though he always kills me. Anyway I am still playing, and I hit blurry whirl a couple of times now. My blenders are also getting much better. Um... oh and I'm working pretty hard on my paradons and those types of moves but there super hard. My atomic sets are pretty good and I can hit atom smasher ok, reasonably close to witchdoctor. Plus for Christmas my dad got me a footbag. I was suprised he found someone and took the time to email them and everything. Thanks for sewwing it Tom :D .

Bam, have I been hitting some stuff. So anyway awhile ago I hit blurry whirl, paradox torque, and backside symposium blur. Then this Tuesday session, which Fletcher and Emily where suspiciously absent from I hit flailing butterfly, paradox blender. That makes 5 five adds. I also hit ducking paradox mirage and so might soon hit ducking symposium paradox mirage which would be another 5 add. In conclusion I have been supposed to meat fletcher like 6 times now and never have. This leads me to doubt his existance.

Yeah it probably was more like three times, it's just that the excitement of getting to footbag Fletcher/You is so great it feels like 6. Yep I'm still kicking, I haven 't quite yet just there have been some long down times in my modified activity.

OK so I went up to Santa Cruz this weekend with Steve so we got to party with Fletcher, Jeremy, and Emily. It was pretty great fun, and now they're having a tournament so that should be cool. As for new stuff my badside atomic is much better now. Also it turns out I can almost hit nuclear. Nuclear mirage landed on my foot a couple times it was pretty cool.

Just had another session. Worked some flip atomics some, and flip pixie. I've had pixie since the longest time but I learned it before I strung tricks together so I've never been able to do it in runs really, I just realized that I can though so that was fun. Plus I hit another five add nuclear butterfly (what a sweet name). This was the first nuclear trick I've hit so that's cool. I also worked flip paradons and such and hit them a couple times plus I hit ripwalk > barfly on my good side. Barfly is so much easier then paradon it's weird...

OK I thought I should probably update this as I haven't in forever.
1. I still am playing footbag even though I don't really come to modified anymore.
2. I'm starting college soon and will be going to UC Santa Cruz so I'll start playing with the Santa Cruz crew soon

Now as for stuff I've learned... Atomics are alright on both sides although it's hard to hit them in runs. It's not impossible though and it does happen. Ducking and diving are now much much better I can hit ducking/diving butterfly, osis, and paradox mirage on both sides I think. Spinning is also much better now on both sides. Good side it's pretty good I think bad side it's pretty bad but oh well. I can also hit easy spinning tricks like spinning butterfly and spinning osis. My double dexing tricks are also getting better with barfly, paradon doing alright. Also I can hit barrage both sides mid run although I haven't hit barraging set yet. My strings are also getting longer now and I can through in a lot of 4 adds. I think my longest guiltless run is about 35 or so with lots of 4's and a 5 I think. My longest shuffle run is now up to like 9 or so which is also my tripless record. I can hit pretty much any single dex move out of stepping now I think. I still can't duck any sets though. My pixie is much better now and i can hit it mid run both sides although my weak side still is weak. I have also learned swirl and symposium whirl both of which I can hit both sides and in runs. I have yet to hit PS whirl though for some reason. I can hit blender both sides now so that's cool. I am just now starting to hit 5's in runs. The list of fives I can hit is. Paradox torque (both sides I think), PS mirage (both sides), blurry whirl (both sides), nuclear butterfly, and some cheater ones like pogo ripwalk and stuff. Anyway just wanted to let everyone know I was still playing and all.

Can't wait to see your improvement. Let us know when you're in town and want to hang out and/or kick.

OK, i am now in Santa Cruz. It's super nice already having people down here to kick with and everything. I've played at both UCSC and in the park a couple times now. At UCSC both times have been Fletcher, Emily, and myself. It has been great fun with lots of people walking by and a nice surface to play on. Both times we've played till dark and Fletcher and I have ended the session by going all out until we simply can't play anymore. Today i got to session at the park ( i don't know it's name) with Emily, Matt, and Max. It was a lot of fun and I ended up hitting some pretty cool stuff. The highlights were I hitting tapdown a couple times which feels great. I also almost hit spinning ducking (never done that) and blurry blender. I think my ducks are getting pretty good as I can hit ducking butterfly's and osis pretty well on both sides mid run and everything. So yeah everything's going well and i'll be at SJFF.

yeah zeb it was lame not seeing you at sjff hopefully sometime soon we'll get to hang out again.

Anyway I had a pretty good session last night so i just wanted to update what I can hit... I'm not sure what I've put down so I'll go through a list of newish thing's I've hit...
Ducks and dives are good and I can now hit zulu and weaving as well. Osis and butterfly are really all I hit for the downtime portion though
I can hit ducky paradox whirl
ps whirl a couple times
paradox blender some
blurry whirl is looking good both sides and out of ripwalk and stuff
spins are looking good both sides
flip pixie still sucks but strong pixie and both atomics are good
I can hit some nuclear stuff but it makes my knee feel weird so I don't do it much
swirl is still bad but I can hit butterfly swirl some...
I hit sailing? I'm not really sure what the set is called it's toe>dex(in->out)>op dex(in->out) but I hit that to same side butterfly
I also hit pheonix much thanks to fletcher for getting my pixie higher
That's probably about it... oh I have been doing some cool knee bumbing stuff, the coolest being stepping kneebumping kissing woodcutting (thanks riku) clipper :D

Ok time for another update...

I was at worlds this summer and did better then I thought I would :)

I can duck my steps now

I have a new hardest trick now. It's blury backside blur I think. It's like a step and then backside blur as if it started on the other side anyway I've hit it once or twice now

I also hit jonnie walker and barraging legover once each

35 or so ripwalks in a row

pretty easily did around 50 bops last session so my record is probably more then that if I tried more often?

I have hit mobious a couple times and can do those types of spins better now

Still kicking with the Santa Cruz people and the Stanford people.

Your new "hardest trick" is the shaz. Also, over the last year your trick selection has not only grown but branched out a bit too which is a good thing. Well that's what I think.

This will have to be tested out during the next few (several) sessions. Don't forget.

Do you want to go to Steve's on Saturday? :-)

we should start a forum petition to get Dustin to update his blogs more than once every 6 months. I saw him a bunch of times in the SoCal video

I know he's had more recent posts inthe Stanford blog, but nothing in terms of updating.

I'll update for you.

Dustin tried to a Paradox Mirage set on the Wednesday session, along with hitting Motion, (attempting) Locomotion, I forgot what else he did, because what freaked me out was.

combo>combo>combo> end string nemesis attempt. It just came from no where, not even a grunt! (Dustin grunts on hard tricks to give some more energy). The three of us (Emily, Dustin, myself) went over how tiring eggbeaters are, and I forgot what else Dustin did, since it was a lot of good stuff hit :).

Shoot there was something else Dustin tried too.... darn I'm not helping :) Cheers.
Look a BLOG! That I never update

OK so I guess it's time I wright in here again :) ...

The so cal jam was awesome...

Emily and I usually kick on Fridays but seeing as we were leaving for a footbag jam as soon as emily was out of class we didn't kick that friday. Instead she picked me up on the way back to her house and we met eric, abram, and mike there. Eric and Abram both kick at Stanford and Mike is in Berkely so they had already traveled for an hour or so (more for Mike). We moved all of emily and my's stuff into erics car and then we were off. The trip down was pretty uneventful but long. Abram, eric, and I ended up playing some advance wars and there were lots of naps and switching of drivers. Mike and I had a nice long talk about music as we were going through LA and it was nice to be kept awake for the last few hours.

As we entered LA we got a call from Anne and Scott who were already at the hotel room and had broken out the alcohol ( a large bottel of vodca ). They asked where we were and said that they'd be drinking until we got there :) . Anyway's a few hours later we arrived at about 11:30 on friday night. We drove around the parking lot and Scott and Anne saw us out the window and ran over. They had eaten little ceasers pizza and thoughtfully saved us 1 slice minus a bite :) . The five car members each took a bite out of it, excepting mike seeing as it wasn't vegan. We got parked and put all our stuff inside, then we went next door and met ben and even who were in the other room watching shred footage. I then left and went down to the other Stanford player's room. Alex, peter, and Jeff had also driven up and were playing. They had pushed one of the beds to the side so there was space. I tried kicking in pants but soon gave up and put on my shred shorts and played for 20-30 minutes or so. It was fun and I was surprised to see that Steve had shown up we didn't think he was going to so it was a nice surprise. I took a shower and then went to bed. In our room was eric, abram, ben, evan, and myself and I got to sleep on a bed!

Next day woke up and we all, our room + the other room, got breakfast and then headed over to the shred site. It was a super nice plaza place right by the beach with stands to sit and watch from. We started kicking immidiatly obviously. I think I started kicking with anne which was fun as she had awesome Chicago music to play to. As more people showed up other music started playing and we had to turn the Chicago off but I was disappointed. That day I also got to meet all the san diego players, the la players, and the two kids from oregan. I got lunch at quizno's with I forget who but yeah. That night we went to this nice souplantation place were we all ate a lot. I got to talk with Eogahn and Cale which was fun. They had to drive so far and I was glad they had come. I think it was that night we went over to Richie/Damon/Jason's house afterwards. That was a lot of fun and I got to shred with Eogahn and Cale as well as Evan and Ben later. It was mostly stupid just for fun stuff in pants but yeah I kinda like playing in pants.

That day we also had had Sick 1 and Sick 3. I competed even though I'm horrible at Sick 1 and Sick 3, I'm much better at longer strings then hard tricks. Even so for Sick 3 I hit

sidewalk > ripwalk > blur (I just wanted to hit something at least)
ripwalk > blurywhirl > spinning dragonfly kick (this was my favorite)
ripwalk > blurywhirl > ps whirl (this was the one that got me 3rd)

I hit that last one on my very last try so it was super nerve wracking but fun. I like playing under pressure. Sick 1 I just tried blurry frontside blur and came super close like 3 times but never got it. It was really frustrating but oh well.

We went to bed really tired and I got a bed again. The next day was more of the same except now we had rippen run competition. This is more my style and I was excited to compete. I passed the first round against Chris and was then up against Ben. I lost to Ben faster then I would have liked. I knew he was going to win (at least if he didn't mess up) but I would have liked to have gone longer it wasn't really short but I can usually go pretty long. Luckily we got a consilation round were everyone not in the top 3 got to play and I won that. I was pretty happy with that run and even hit a nice ps whirl late after everyone else had dropped. That night evan, ben, eric, abram, and I went back to souplantation instead of the place everyone else ate at. We had fun talking about footbag and eating lots of food again. That night Emily, Scott, Anne, Eric, Mike, and I (am I forgetting someone there were a lot of people) all went to Denny's late. It was a lot of fun and I was glad to be staying with such nice people.

The next day my legs were rather shot but we still messed around with stuff. Mainly double's one leg from each person shred in which abram and I could do atomic set stuff :) . It was fun and then we drove back. Mike had made an awesome mix filled with ridiculous hip hop stuff ( ridiculous being a complement). There was vast amounts of singing and dancing from Mike, Emily, and Myself when we were in the back seat together. And then we were home. It was late and I was super tired but I was glad I had gone. It was a great event and there were so many nice people.

It was a ton of fun getting to see Anne and Scott again. Riding in the car was about as enjoyable as that car ride can be thanks to the nice company. It was fun meeting evan, ben, eughan, and cale at the event as well as everyone else I kicked with. I hope this makes up for some of my blog posts left unsaid but yeah...

Oh and since I've been back my left leg hurts (shin splint style but low down) from barraging, and my inner right leg hurts from nuclear so those are out for a week :)
