Tonight Jeremy, Fletch and I had a garage session. I guess I pulled my groin(?) at some point recently. I don't even know. I hurt where I've never hurt before. I didn't realize why it was feeling that way so I tried stretching it out which seems to have made it worse. I'll take time off and until I know I feel better. I am fine with that.
Non-footbag:
Asking Ahren yesterday what years Worlds was held in SF directly helped me today. I felt smart when I knew, but it was just good timing. I was driving today and thought that I would really enjoy a well taught footbag history class. Watching TOT2 plus hearing someone who was there talk about it was nice. I feel like I should know where the sport came from and who did what for it in every way that I can. It's like someone knowing their heritage, sort of. Maybe lineage is a better comparison. But that "gods" of footbag thing isn't realistic if people don't learn about those gods that came before. I know a lot of big names from right now, but who was the best 20 years ago and what were they hitting? Maybe I could guess closely, but that's all. (or maybe I'd be completely wrong)
I feel pretty bad because I haven't been a good friend recently. I find it hard balancing good friends who I talk to only on the phone (because they are thousands of miles away), people I talk to pretty much only online, and people I talk to on the phone in town and sometimes hang out with. Like, if all of these people were here in person, I would know who would come first in my list of priorities, but I can't quiet tell anymore and I've let everything slip. It's all a mess. I think I quit that part of life for a while. I like that idea.
Edit: what a way to start a page.

I was hurting a lot so I couldn't come. I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to come to Santa Cruz and play with the entire active crew (even if that's only three people).crazydwarf wrote:So, I'm pretty sure neither you nor Fletcher was at Stanford on Tuesday. This, in turn, makes me pretty sure that Fletcher is not real...
Edit: Jeremy beat me to it.

O now we're on. I'm a lot closer but then again I don't have a car which hinders my ability to make it to SC. Thanks for the invitation though guys(Jeremy/Emily). Sorry I can't come up there much/hardly ever, I relize it isn't too fair that you come down to Stanford so much more then I go up there. Anyways I'll meet fletcher eventually hopefullyI'll race Dustin to see who will get to SC first!
Edit: Oh and to this
I just now relized that "real" is possibly some new slang term unknown to me, meaning good at footbag or something. I wasn't trying to insult Fletcher or anything I was simply questioning his existance. It turns out he has a modified account so his existance is no longer in question...haha! You're not real! We in SC are totally real. Im sure he'll make it up there soon enough. Either way, try to make your way down here sometime soon.
Dustin Rhodes
And he has a new video and a blog.
Fletcher, if you read a little bit into Dustin's post I think you'll see that Dustin is directly insulting you.

Non-footbag:
Last night the event was great. I got home and immediately went to sleep at 7am. No more needs to be said.
Footbag:
Miraculously, I was able to hit drifter tonight for no good reason. It felt like it was as easy at it used to feel.
-Worked on flip illusion for a little bit and flip whirl for a while, I still need to do a lot more skooling to have them.
-Drifter>drifter which was sealed with a third drifter that was unsealed.
-Fairy ss symp mirage

Thanks so much, Hania!
I played footbag today with Dustin Rhodes, Steve Goldberg, Fletch, and Jeremy at UCSC. I didn't do anything worth talking about. Dat came but couldn't freestyle yet so he just played 4-square when we all did. I won the first game (out of luck
) then lost the next two pretty badly.
Here's the big news for the day: BLAM (click me)
Jeremy, Fletch, and I have been working on the event stuff for a while so we decided to take it public.

I left work early yesterday because I felt a strong cold coming on. I've pretty much been on the couch since then. Late last night my fever was so high that I was hallucinating and paranoid so even though my head and body body hurt so much that all I wanted was to be unconscious, my mental state wouldn't allow it. I was in bad enough shape that I wanted to go to the hospital but I couldn't knock hard enough on my sister's door to wake her up at 1am. I threw up a few times in the dark bathroom and then slept on the cold bathroom floor for a while. That was definitely not a cold. I think I've only been that sick two other times in my life. It was horrible.

Dannng.
Today I was really sick too.
I was in class and my spanish teacher was lecturing and my stomach was hurting soooo bad. i was raising my hand forever before she got to me. Walking down the hallway i started to get dizzy, and like, i felt myself about to pass out. i had to concentrate not to pass out. when i finally got to the bathroom i couldnt even see my reflection. that was scary. my stomach was going crazy. i sat for 20 mins before i could stummble back to class and get a pass to the clinic. it sucked. and taking my heavy ass backpack all the way across campus sucked too. i looked really pail and never wanna feel that agian.
but i mean, at least i didnt throw up or ne thing. I feel better now.
I hope you do too!

Dear friends, thanks for the calls, PM's, and posts. I feel about as sick now as I was expecting to feel when I left work yesterday.
I'm sorry you were sick, Ashley. Wow, that does sound scary. I hated being sick while at school. I'm glad you feel better now too. At least we both got this out of the way before the end of the month.
