He knows that. There is no point in trying to reason with him right now because he's using this false ignorance as a way to aggravate people- specifically Ken. If you ignore him he'll probably learn to stop.

i think he is a human being like everyone else, and while he may not have quite as much leverage arguing footbag with the "legends," he certainly has as much right to argue ANYTHING else with them, and should be respected equally.

EDIT-i decided it came out sounding too much like i actually like Dan, which i dont

I totally agree. But I would change "right to argue anything" to "right to argue anything intelligently."

While I don't consider myself a "legend," I feel like I've put enough time into the footbag community that I deserve more than getting PM-bombed for doing my job. As for Dan being "respected equally," I disagree. On The Sopranos, people always say: "you get respect when you give respect." I respect all members of modified who post intelligently and thoughtfully, even when I disagree with their opinions, regardless of their "status" in the footbag community.. But people like Dan, who just try to get reactions from people and start flame wars... I don't care if he is a founding member of BAP or not, but I wouldn't respect him.

Nothing productive is coming of this topic, and I've already achieved my intended goal by leaving it open. To reiterate: if you have a personal request, you should PM a member of the moderating staff, and they will pass your request onto an Admin or take care of it themself. If your question affects the entire community, then you can make a topic on the forums. In this case, Dan's problem (disabled pms) only affected him, so he should have contacted an Admin or Mod via PMs, instead of starting a public topic.

Except that we disabled his PMs so he only had the choices of starting this topic or e-mailing myself or Mike.

Dan, if you could have managed to behave I'd happily have turned your PMs back on, but in the last 4 days you've been on a wild idiot spree of bashing both Ken and Joshua.
