Hi people,

maybe you wonder why my diary was gone since a few days.

The reason for it was I did not want to show it in public.
I guess the reason for this doesn't matter.

After a few thoughts I came to the conclusion that I will make some changes in my posting scheme.

I will save my footblog from time to time and then I will delete this thread or edit out my entries , we will see.

I want to inform you that your comments you made in my blog are not gone they are just not in this thread anymore.

I am happy being able to post to my friends again and furthermore do not drop down the curtain too much for someone I do not want to participate.

I guess my posts will get more superficial, the post won't be that long like in the past.

Five days without a bag on my foot - I do not know what is up these days .

Don't worry Jo,

I've been there too and I think it's only natural that motivation fluctuates from time to time. Take a rest in the valleys, push yourself in the hills (only); if you know what I mean.

I reckon a two man circle (you and me!) would do both of us good. When's the next tournament?

2 hours for me yesterday

back on climbing up the hill again.

I schooled nothing special these days because I have to work on my routine and yesterday I went through it - 3 drops was the best.

I had a great show yesterday . I am so surprised what media will write about it.

One more note:

the show was called "Presseball 2006"; here is the link to the site:

you must scroll a little bit downward then you will see "footbag artist".

The whole show was really cool and there were two moments where I thought I am in the wrong movie:

First scene:
A bunchh of cheerleaders passing by and one smiled to me and told to her friend "this guy I will take with me tonight " I looked around and wondered who she was refering

second scene even better:
There were two models sent to this event from their agency and both of them where surrounding me . Then they made photos of themselves, posing, when I prepared'/ warmed up for my routine.

God that was distracting-

A few minutes later they were standing at the door where you can enter the stage and then one of the two beauties ( holy shit they were two perfect females ) told me that I am cool and chatted with me and she asked me if she can have my cell number to arrange a date.

This was absolutely the big surprise of my life. There were around 2000 people in the hall and two models and one of them want to have a date with me. I heard my gf in my brain and thought "oh my god , I am just a man and I do not want to have such a risk for my relationship in my cell phone and did not give her my number." After telling them this both were somewhat surprised too.

Anyway I never thought this would happen to me anytime anyplace. It was hilarious , the first time I got this kind of attention of a girl and then from such a woman!

I hope I won't regret my behaviour later in life

I encourage each shredder to shred in public and maybe get on stage a few times .

Sitting here, smiling and wondering what was my big secret yesterday.

Everyone who knows me, know that I am no womanizer at all and so that is the reason why this was such a surprise !

Yeah I am back on making my way up to my former shape!

Today I hit ten consecutive ripwalks a few times. I got a lot of fun shredding and after the shred I finished with a good stretch.

10 Ripwalks is cool, still can't do that, but I will work on it after my tests.
Jochen tell us a little bit more about your show! For how long did you play? Did you explain the idea of Footbag to the audience? What music did you play to? Stuff like that. And I hope they paid you some good money.

Okay here we go:

I did great in the first show, about 500 spectators and I represent on lots of flyers and lots of bills in the whole town.

After the first show , which went quite good - 5 Minutes , Fat boy slim " Right here right now" I got 6 bags with me and I got 5 drops but I am sure that the audience did not notice all because I throw in a new bag when I dropped.

This was quite cool.

It is cool to have a professional company which supports you.
I will work on with them and we plan to make some good shows. Currently I have to handle all the college work and planning a good show for our upcoming events.

We will see - up to now all things are working and I got the feeling that I cannot do more for this sport as representing hardcore and doing workshops and stuff. It is a cool thing to earn a few bucks ( not much per hour for playing footbag)

The second show was only one minute shred and then doing a workship of 20 minutes on the sideline. I did the workshop for more than one hour and there were some real good players there , so motivated , so gifted and on such events , there is no doubt that footbag is a sport , a tough one!

The third show was not good the DJ got too much work and then things got wrong . I got the wrong music , wrong light , wrong amount of mist .... it was fucked up but it doesn't matter because the first show was the highlight where all media persons were watching.

I thought before of doing more shows, but it is difficult to got the right people to talk to and now it is a very good thing with this marketing company. Moreover it gives me the feeling of a semiprofessional footbagger. I am not even close to a good footbagger but that doesn't matter because to give people a good show you do not need to be fearless or hit rubberman.

I was shredding for 1,5 hours today and I was motivated like never before and that is a nice feeling. My next event is at the Youth Sport Fest.

After my media presence people contact me to do a show. I run around so many hours and visited so many people to do a workshop or a show . Most of the time I got no reply . And now people contact me - that makes footbag promotion so much easier.
I printed out some bills on my own and pinned them on various spots. All useless.

Really I am happy that people with more knowledge make those things now and I can focus on playing and nothing else. YEah shredding and getting shows from this company. That is nice. Focus on studying , shredding and promoting footbag!

i´d like to see some feedback from the shows. are there any pages, that show you doing these shows?
if you need some support...

good to read, that you´re kicking hard! 10 consec ripwalks is a good amount. i bet you can hit 15 easily! you have such a good foundation. go pump out some massive moves!

btw, do you know anything about AIO 06?

howdy all.

i did not get to read any posts here but wim wrote me.. so i´ll clear up things about AIO06:

first: thanks for asking about it! it makes me feel that i don´t do this for "fun".. at least not only for mine. its really cool to see some expectations towards me in that thing.

at the moment we have big problems to get a proper gym. thats all.
there seems to be no way to have a 2-3 day jam since all gyms are blockedby volleyball and other minor sports.

that means that maybe we will have a jam sometime later.. what i personally dont want. or we will move to cologne togehter with friends of mine who plan a futsal-event and asked me to participate.
but this is still very uncertain.

good to hear some news. but bad that you can´t tell some more optimistic things.
well, i personally think, combining footbag with the cologne guys isn´t the worst solution!
i am with you, AIO later is shitty! first, AIO should be in winter, during some snow in the back (my personal opinion), but i guess in may, the german championships will happen. maybe earlier, i dunno. it will be in dresden. later on, worlds are also here in deutschland.

but what is futsal?

i´d like to join a jam in cologne!!!

@ Justin
I can ask if the regular gym we can have a court or two. There are two badminton courts and I guess that is not that bad for playing net. Maybe I can work something out for accomodation too.

I do not want to organize the tourney because I got not enough time to make it good but I can definitely ask the guys of the gym and make a few calls to organize a hostel or anything like that.
