No, the steelers had to beat the #1, #2, and #3 teams to get there. THEY ARE THE #6 TEAM.

Seahawks have no chance, they are kind of a fluke. Steelers will win it for the Bus

Ummm....the #2 team is the Seahawks and they couldn't have played them in the playoffs because they are not in the Steeler's division.

The Steelers were the #10 team going into the playoffs.

Although I would not call the Seahawks a fluke. Holmgren's won a Superbowl before, and gone to the playoffs a bunch of times. The Seahawks got to where they are with Shawn Alexander, the MVP of the league.

so working at wendy's today big ben came through the drive through. So i handed his food to him throguh the window. That man has to be able to tank alot because he got a biggie sized number 6, an addition spicy chicken, and a junior bacon.

He asked for my autograph but i told him i didn't have a pen handy and there was a car behind him so he'd have to come back some other time

I have not watched the super bowl in years, but I'm from Washington, and as a kid I remember cheering on the Seahawks with my father and uncles and their friends. Good memories. It is so exciting to finally see my old home team finally make it. Even if they don't win it's still cool they got this far. They have gotten no credit all year. All I hear is "are the Seahawks really that good, or does every body else just suck this year." This is said after every time they seriously fucking whip somebodys ass. I hope they kick the shit out of the Steelers. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really "like" the seahawks, but I do follow them and always hope they win. I've always hated the steelers so screw them. Seattle is going to win, actually they HAVE to win. This is the first year they didn't get knocked out in the first round it seems. I always hated the fact seattle could never make it past the first round.

no, the only thing that seattle has to be pissed about is ben's touchdown. But that camera angle wasn't that good of an angle so the ref didn't have conclusive evidence to change the ruling.

All the other things the seahawks deserved. Especially the offensive pass interfearence.

Oh, but they can just ignore the numerous counts of offensive holding that went completely ignored. Okay. Oh, or how about when they called a time-out after the play clock ran out? They replayed that and it blatantly showed the clock reaching zero and the ball being hiked before BR called a time-out. Then, of course, Madded tried to say something like, "They have to look at the clock, and then the ball, so there's a beat before the play clock is really out." When really, that is factually just plain incorrect. John Madden lied to eight hundred million people by saying that.

Oh oh OH! And what about Hasselblack getting called with "blocking below the knees" when he made a tackle? WTF? He threw an interception and then tackled the guy that caught it! BLOCKING?

And what about that nice shove to the back that one of the Seahawks did to one of the Steelers (I missed the names) after the Seahawks intercepted and ran a bunch of yards? Me and my stepdad thought that should have been called, but it wasn't.

EDIT: Super bowls always have refs that miss things or call things that shouldn't have happened that seem to cost the game. It sucks, but oh well. What can we do?

Hey I actually watched some of the Super Bowl. Was going for Pittsburg becauase there was a guy with cool hair on that team. Got bored though and stopped watching. Kind of painful when you watch 5 minutes of coverage to see 5 seconds of play. Also I hate the way the players act like they've performed the match winning play ever single time they do something right. Too much self love for me.

I agree that this call was bogus, but most calls that I saw were correct. I think the ball broke the plane of the endzone when Ben R. was running. Totally was a touchdown, not that it mattered anyway. They would still have won by 4 points if you took that touchdown away.

Not to knock that everlasting wind out of your sails, but that's the most commonly used untrue statement in sports fanaticism. When a team scores a touchdown in football, it's HUGE and it can really shift the momentum to that team.

If the Seahawks had stopped them there, the Steeler's offense may have felt impotent and may have not been able to put together another successful drive. More importantly, the Seahawks may have carried the momentum they already posessed further to more solid scoring drives.

I'm mainly saying this because in the past 5 years or so, especially since the 'Challenge' rules have been implemented, bad officiating has degraded the NFL immensely, and has stolen a lot of the magic away from football. Who knows how that game would've panned out if all of the officiating was done correctly.

But other than that, Good job Steelers! Way to beat all the teams leading up to that game as well!

I know it coulda been done cleaner, better, and prettier, but when the smoke has cleared we all see the same thing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers walking off into the sunset, high-fiving and smiling, wearing nice new hats with the most important word of all stitched on them... Champions.

Consolations to all the Seahawks fans, there was some shit in the game and everything. Better luck next year, the Bus needed this one.
