First post, Getting into footbagging

Hey guys, I never new how big the hackysack, or footbag scene as i see everyone calls it really is.

Since the beginning of this year i have been playing around with my friends, and decided to pick up a couple footbags of my own.

I got the "classic combo" from shaggyhack.

are these footbags any good compared to others?

I am sure they will be fine as I am not really good yet.

They don't look that bad, but it depends on the material they're made of and what they're filled with. It's nice that you didn't spend a fortune on those though, in case they aren't very good.

What you'll hear a lot is that Mr. Sandbags are the way to go in the start. They're very cost effective (under $10 each), don't require much (if any) break-in, and they play very well. I would recommend that you at least buy one to see how you like them. Almost everyone starts off using them because, realistically, they are the best bag a beginner can get.

(and I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I used them for about a year though and let other people that are getting into freestyle borrow mine.)

yeah, im gonna try these out...

I am selling the one i like the least to my friend for 10 dollars, so with that I guess I will try out one of those mr.sandbags.

also, i am pretty sure they are made from the same material as the mr.sandbag.

one of them is 1/3 filled with plastic pellets, and one is filled a little more with plastic pellets, and i think one is filled with sand.

EDIT- also, I am getting pretty good at just keeping the footbag up to myself, but Im not sure what tricks I should get into first, and all the names pretty much mean nothing to me as of now. Im gonna look around, but some direct help to send me in the right direction would be sick too.

well i got my new footbags, and i like the "elemental" out of the ones i got the most...

I can get a good amoun of consecutive kicks and have all my basic kicks pretty much down pat..

I also started doing toe stalls today, and its really sick seeing some improvement in my game..

yeah its like 122 haha..

I got a 32 panel also, but for soem reason i like the elemental one better as of now.
