Those bags are VERY nice! 8O

I know you're all elite and shit but maybe one day you'd want to trade bags with me.

Also, I really want to shred with you one day.

Had a mid-length session today with Moxie, outside in Aptos 8O (a rarity in this neck of da woods). It was fun, mostly a skooling session for both of us. When he called it quite after about 80 minutes, I continued to play while she filmed a bit.

Although she'll probably post this in her own blog, Emily totally SMASHED FunkLovesFootbag's drifter record by hitting 4 in a row, and footing the fifth! It was cool to see and she was excited about it because I dont think she had ever hit 3 before (could be wrong on that). She also hit dyno- thats newish for her.

As for me, I hit:
-5 and 6 consec ps whirls
-toe drif>pdx dlo>toe drif>dlo>rpt (self-challenges completed)
-toe drif>pdx egg>toe drif>bubbabeater>rpt (another self-challenge completed)
-high stepping butt>pdx whirl>pdx blender
-pdx whirl>symp whirl>pdx drifter>repeat
-bedwetter>smoke again
-a good shuffle combo with about 10 straight pixie moves (both smudges, magellans, pixie legovers, a pixie ss illusion, a pixie ss pickup, other pixie stuff?)

yay me. I didnt play SUPER hard, just medium hard. I was motivated, but not overly enthustastic about hitting a whole bunch of crazy stuff. So I guess I am happy with what went down. I might throw together a short vid of it because most of that was captured on camera.

Edit: I forgot to post that I smashed my own consecutive drifter record yesterday by hitting 31 consecutive drifters!

had a skooling session with fletch and emily tonight. nothing major to report. fairy dlo on one side, shitty fairy drifters (1 each) on both sides, a couple of fairy whirls on both sides. 1 symp whirling rev swirl (lucky tho). 17 consec pixie legovers, new personal record. Will push it to 20 soon enough, but just yesterday it was only 10. I hit a clipper set ss downtime symp whirling swirl tnight too, first time ive really tried that. Im in training for full symp whirring swirl

edit: also flip pdx egg>flip egg>flip dlo (all "flip moves" feel awkward but maybe aren't super difficult to hit by themselves)

Well . . . Im writing this post with mixed emotions. I was pretty excited to go to CSS . . . I told practically no-one so it was very much a surprise to most attendees. That was fun. I played so much on the first day, prolly 7 hours or so, but on the second day, I hit my knee against some stupid metal heater and i could barely put pressure on it. That fuckin' sucked. I had a lot of fun hanging out durign that time however. I brought 11 bags to CSS and I sold all fo them, which was nice. Thanks to everyone who bought them- it made me feel really good and it was great to see so many happy people kicking them in circles and 4-squaring with them. I was happy to meet a lot of new people while i was there, but sad that I didn't meet a lot more. Im totally not going to give a run down of all of the events except for that I had a really great time. There were quite a few attendees- that was fun. Stephen did a very excellent job organizing all aspects of the tourney. He took on so much responsibility and handled himself well. It was neat to meet Kevin Crowley, Kevin Regamey, David Clavens, and Nelson Monhollon for the first time, and to see so many others I had not seen in such a long time (e.g. Joe Crain). I also met Ashley, but spent so little measningful time talking with her, I guess i don't really know anything about her. Maybe next time . . . it was great to see ken Somolinos again- his personality in person is infectious. He is quite happy, and throws down quite a few verbal assaults that have to be countered quickly for optimal face-saving. I barely held my own. His shred was very good too. Dave Clavens was basicaly off the hook, hitting long strings on command, 5s whenever he wanted, and at least 2 beast combos that I saw. He still has quite a bit to improve on, however, he is definitely BAP-level. Justin Dale came down! That surprised everyone. Evan Lovely and the entire Missoula crew were there. Evan gave me a copy of the vids he has produced on DVD, for free! that was cool of him. Jim Penske seemed quite nice. He was different than I expected him to be, but in a good way. I hope that next tourney, I will be able to hang out with him a bit more. Its too bad he was hurt. I would have loved to see him shred hard. It seemed like he had a great time anyway, so props to him for that! Lon was great. Chris Holden is super nice, very accomodating, and a hell of a funny guy. I enjoyed spending time with him. Thanks for putting me up on Friday night Chris. Luis M and Nelson- it was a pleasure to meet/see you guys. Both of you have awesome style and so much potential to raise the importance of style in footbag to a whole new level. Chicago guys- thanks for partying with me, hanging out and eating dinner, for hot tubbing, and for always providing the funniest stories I've ever heard (Dat bitch hit me wit a smoove!") OMG! Some of the OBAP were in attendance and it was neat to see them although I never really made an attempt to hangout with them. Peter Irish and Rick Reese are the two who come to mind. I also introduced myself to Paul Mestas, who seemed quite nice. Darly was busting pretty damn phat, he's always getting better and he's a really nice guy. Im glad to know him. Back on the subject of Kevin Regamey- he seems super nice. I probably spent the most time with or near him than any other shr4edder who was not staying in my room. It was time well spent. he seems very down to earth, smart, and interesting. It was good to meet you.

I didnt play particulatly well at CSS, partially due to several small injuries I sustained while there. So, there really aren't any personal highlights I want to throw out there. I guess I'm in the process of learning a reverse whirling set tho-that is cool. When I do it wrong tho, it hurts the knee a little bit.

Thanks to everyone who was there. I might add a bunch more, or maybe just a little bit more to what Ive written. Only time will tell.

PS- I had such awful luck with my flights on this trip. I dont think Ill be flying for several months

Thanks Jeremy.

I was talking to the Shuttle driver on the way from the airport to my condo...and I kept thinking about our conversation, and slowing down my speech. I still suck at it though. :P

I'll let you know how the paint mixing goes down.
