Is it fine to not cut the first layer of mesh laver shoe? or inside layer? Cuz it is so hard to do it and i dont want to risk it . So does it matter?

yeah don't risk it until you're ready. You want to remove the inner canvas when you do though, not netting. Netting good. Inner canvas bad.

It makes the playing surface ALOT plusher and you can feel the bag alot more. You can play without taking out a layer.. but why not? Modding is fun and it makes the shoes better, do it!

I played in my lavers for close to 8 months with only the toe mod. You can definitley play with it without modding. The mod just makes the shoe a little lighter and you can feel the bag better

in my mesh lavers there is a noticeable difference in the toe, but i dont really see that much of an improvement in the insides...i feel it alot more on my leather lavers that i modded...i think that material is much better

You can feel the bag more but after modding one pair of lavers I have been playing in my new lavers for like 6 months now and haven't taken the canvas out so it's deffinatly ok. It might be somewhat easier to catch stuff with it taken out though and you can deffinatly feel the bag more.

Lots of pros don't mod their shoes at all. I would work them in and see how they work for you unmodded. It sounds like this is your first pair? I would wait and see how it goes for you. If after a month you find it really frustrating that you can't feel the bag, or it keeps rolling of when it shouldn't be, THEN I would mod them.

I wouldn't avoid modding them just because you're scared to cut through them, though. Just be super careful. I didn't mess up my first pair because I was way too scared to and was therefore super-crazy careful not to. (Be patient and score your cuts many times slowly and shallowly if you're afraid of cutting through.)

When modding my first pair of lavers (a couple months ago) I read to soak them in hot water for about 10 mins, and let them dry overnight to loosen the glue holding the canvas to the mesh.
The water helped, but I also found it helpful to cut the canvas while still wet, and to have something to push into the first cut to pull apart the layers.
Modding helped me a lot! If you did the toe wall mod without too much stress, go ahead and start plucking some canvas threads, just keep looking at the outer layer to make sure you don't go through!

Before I mod my lavers, I always throw them in the wash and let them dry. This really helps loosen the glue holding the mesh together, and it makes the lavers shine even more

After making the intitial cut, I insert a screwdriver into the hole and move it around to separate the two layers od mesh. The toe is a little harder, but if you wash the shoes first, it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

exact same technique I use, except I just throw them in a tub of hot water and let them soak for 15 min, as opposed to the actual wash, and as embarassed as I am to say it, microwave them for 1 minute afterward......

I didn't take mine out for a while either. I was SUPER scared to mod them at first too. But once I did perform that mod, I fell DEEPLY in love with modifying footbag shoes... I went nuts on my lavers. Soooooooo many mods done to them now.

ive got a pair i just got em about a week ago and all i have is toe mod im to scared to take out a layer and at the moment i dont think its necesary but i know once their fully broken in and i need a new pair ill do it to see if i like it or not

Personally, I would recommend the experience of modding more than the toe of your lavers, it definitely can be addictive, but another option is to bring them to an experienced player and have him/her show you how to start them off or do them.
Even better if they can show you on their (new) shoes!

Thanks for all the opinion, the toe of my laver is not really a problem but the inside surface is not really good. It is not flat, I did Clipper better with other shoes ,weird.

Dam i am wondering when will some companies produce a shoes for Footbag, modifying is so annoying =\. I am sure for some experts are easy, but for newbie usually wasting money and time to modify a shoes

Definitely not! Even the experts modded their shows when they were newbies. Buying and moding lavers really really does help. It may not seem like it at first, but you'll quickly find out that it does. Modding is supposed to be fun.

I love modding. I screw my shoes up all the time, but I still love modding. It's fun. I like how when I got my lavers, they looked completely different from what they look like now.
