Oooh, new avatar :D.

Friday's sesh at the YMCA was pretty good, I got myself involved in four square for a change and it turned out to be pretty epic. I didn't kick yesterday since my shin and knees were feeling it, but today I did. And now my knees are feeling it :P.

It was one of those sessions were things feel solid, but you still can't seem to land what you want, ya know? It was definitelly a better than average session.

Friday

- Fairy Torque bs
- Rev. Swirling ss Corpse Grinder bs and bsos :)
- Rev. Swirling Far Corpse Grinder :P
- Smog > Pixie ss DLO x 2
- Alpine Feral (not too sure if I hit it before...) > run with a 'the' weakside Alpine Feral :( (may also be the first time??)
- Big Apple first attempt on each side :)

This evening

- 14 contacts of Toe Whirl > Blur
- Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl x 2 :D
- Pdx Eggbeater > Eggbeater > ss Eggbeater > ss Butterfly bs
- Drifter x 15 (record is 17 :x ) first attempt
- Sick 3 first attempt! (Fog > Witchdoctor > Pixie Paradon)
- Montage for a Sick 1, hit it, like, 3 times this evening

So yeah, not too many highlights but still. Eggbeaters somehow gotten easier so I think I may start drilling them more. Tomorrow's sesh will probably be more laid back, but who knows. I need to get my endurance back up.

EDIT Numero 2:

The new drilling scheme is hard, both to execute and on my legs. I will have to take baby steps into it. I did manage one good thing out of it on Thursday, which I just remembered:

- Pixie ss Whirl > Stepping Mirage > Pixie ss Whirl > Stepping Mirage > Pixie Whirl > Blur > Pixie Whirl > Blur

WOW!

what a sexy avatar...
Word on the new stuff :!: I know what you mean about drilling and how hard it can be. I have noticed such an immediate increase in my game though, so I know it is the way to go.

Keep shredding!!

SNAP!!

My shin has been holdin me back this week, but I'm popping Calcium & Magnesium tablets and I am overcoming this stupid injury.

I had a sweet sesh this afternoon, lasting about 2.5 hours, after taking Wednesday off to just do my workout. I felt real solid and my shin didn't hold me back too much, so at the end I just let everything go and went for what I've been wanting to hit for a week.

- Drifter x 19 (I actually did that on Tuesday, but it's a new record :))
- Drifter > Vortex > Pdx Drifter (8 contacts)
- Pdx DLO > Butterfly (15 contacts)
- Pdx Eggbeater > Butterfly (11 contacts)
- Eggbeater > ss Eggbeater x 2 first attempt :D
- Pdx Drifter > Pdx Torque x 2 first attempt :D :D
- Pdx Drifter > Pdx DLO > Drifter > DLO > Toe Whirl > Pdx Whirl bs (will be a new drill)
- Bedwetter > Dimwalk > Bedwetter > Dimwalk > run 8)
- Bedwetter > Predator bs 8O
- Predator > Predator

Rubberman with Bedwetters coming soon people.

PS - Corpse Grinder is a dangerous way of saying a toe stall, and Nallegum (sic) is supposed to be Nallegam, which is Fairy ss Pickup

I actually got Predator > Predator on camera. If you want to check it out, just click here.

Today's sesh wasn't as hot - I could feel that my shin wasn't too great as soon as I started warming up. So that meant, after I went over my sets, that I just worked on my downtime components. Not too noteworthy but like Ken says, puttin adds on the Lavers.

I did manage to snag both my Drifter and Rubberman contact records! It's now 20 and 18, respectively. :D

Tomorrow I'm going to babysit my cousin and probably take the day off. Sunday is workout day, and hopefully Rory is up for a kick. Hopefully by then my shin will be much better as well.

Here's to hopin.

Hello Mr. Bloggy.

The past week has been, in terms of footbag, pretty thin. I took a few days off to just give my shin some rest, kicked a few times (resulting in my shin hurting a bit more) and took more days off. Yesterday at the YMCA was the hardest I kicked since sometime last week, and I definitely felt it then, but today it doesn't seem too bad. I will probably do more stretches though and take today off anyways.

Sooo yeah. I've been experimenting with Refractions, and performing them undeniably clean (4 adds baby), and I love them! They will be a new concept thrown into my strings :). Some highlights from the week...

- Locomotion
- Alpine Toe Blur :D
- Wonton Mirage
- Gyro Miraging Refraction (think Gyro DLO bailed to a ss Osis) (new trick and also hit it twice in a string) :o
- Stepping Bubbabeater
- Atomic Refraction > Gyro Whirl 8)
- atleast 20 contacts of Rubberman :D
- Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl x 2
- Pdx Drifter > Pdx Torque x 2
- Pdx Blender x 2 bs
- Fog > Witchdoctor > Pixie Paradon first attempt again 8O
- Food Processor bsos
- Vortex > Mobius bsos
- Spinning Ducking Butterfly > Mobius bsos
- Refraction > Gyro Refraction bsos
- Rev. Swirling ss Toe > Legbeater bsos
- Backside Tap bsos
- Drifter > Vortex > Pdx Drifter > Pdx Torque (felt really good)

Next week for work is going to be fucked up, but hopefully I can handle it. I will be working the 11:30 - 8am shift for most of the week, but according to my calculations that still leaves me time to kick at the YMCA next Friday! Huzzah!

Now to once again proceed with the healing process of my shin.

He can't sail yet. :)

Upon suggestion, Byrin hit Refraction > Gyro Refraction bsos first try.

His refractions look fantastic.

He also failed to mention that a kid at the YMCA managed to hit atw, then later, atw x2, then later, atw x4 ! Also flip atw, also legover bs. He was very, very stoked. It was pretty awesome.

I have no sailing skills, and also have a tendency to get sea sickness  .

And yeah, we dubbed our visitor an official footbagger. He's been showing up, for like, how many weeks straight? Close to five now? He's got potential :D

Fuck I love my sig. Haha, PWNED!! Great job Rory :D

I worked out this morning, went grocery shopping with me mother, took her out to lunch, then when we got back I decided to have a sesh. It actually went really well, considering that my shin did not give me any troubles throughout. There were a few times where it was sketchy, but I took it easy for a few minutes afterwards everytime that happened and that would fix it. I still feel rusty, but things are definitely looking up.

I've also came to the conclusion that Nuke ss Mirage (I don't like referring to it as Pdx Tap) is the easiest trick involving that set :)

- Diving Drifter bs
- Nuke ss Mirage bs, then bsos, then Nuke ss Mirage > Dimwalk x 2
- Nuke ss Mirage > Smoke so close to bsos (had it off the foot :()
- Vortex > Nuke ss Mirage
- 11 contacts of Drifter > Vortex > Pdx Drifter
- Vortex x 3 bs
- Refraction > Gyro Clip x 2
- ss Refraction > Far Refraction x 2
- Refraction > Gyro Refraction bsos again :)
- Stepping Whirl > Pdx Torque bs (nailed strongside midstring :))
- BAP Drill x 2

I worked 2 hours this evening, but get paid for 4. I love it when the operator is sick  .

I wasn't going to post in here, but since I have all night to stay awake and do whatever, I may as well. I had a pretty good kick yesterday evening. My shin wasn't bothering me at all, but I still didn't push too hard to hit many things. Still feel a tad rusty as well, especially with DLOs and Eggbeaters, but I know by Friday I should be back on top of things... I hope.

- Barfry bs
- 21 contacts of pixie shuffle (16 unique)
- Whirl > Pdx Whirl x 6.5
- Rubberman with Nuke ss Mirage :D
- Barfry > Nuke ss Mirage > Legbeater bs (Rubberman 3? I so want to hit it and name it :P )

Quick post before I leave for work.

Had a two hour session this evening, which, aside from fucking DLOs that I seem to have lost completely, went real well. Tomorrow I'm headin over to the YMCA before work, but I doubt it will be a Tim Horton's supper Friday like it usually is :( .

Anywho,

- 24 contacts of all pixie shuffle
- Vortex x 4
- Tapping Illusion x 6 (x 5 on other side) -> by the sounds of it, it's a new World Record?
- Barfry > Barfry
- Rubberman with Nuke ss Mirage again :)
- Pdx Drifter > Pdx Torque x 2 first attempt again :)

Hmm. Thought there were highlights then that. Oh well, atleast things felt solid (except DLOs :x ).

Actually, I did forget some highlights, one of which was from, like, Tuesday or something.

Anyways, the sesh at the YMCA went really well. I think everybody had some really smokin' highlights. Our up and comer had some hot strings (ATW > Op Toe > Leg Over > ATW 8O, and he only learned how to do ATWs a week ago). Rory hit Tombstone first attempt right before me, and Kevin laid down Alpine Pandemonium first attempt on my request. How fucking phat is that??

My highlights that I can remember...

- Muted Atomic Ducking Clipper bs
- Stepping Whirl x 3 bs
- Vortex x 5
- Pdx Blender x 4
- Fury > run with Wonton Mirage (second time hitting Fury, go me :))
- Janiwalker > Ripwalk (my first non-BOP link out of Janiwalker  )
- Tombstone > Tombstone
- Blurry Drifter > Tombstone bs
- Barfry > Barfry again
- Rubberman with Nuke ss Mirage AGAIN (I really like this varient)

- Refraction > Far Refraction x 4
- Pdx Whirl > Pdx Blender x 2

There, those last two were from earler this week.

I came really close to hitting Gauntlet again, having it off my foot twice I think. I find that really strange, because I can't do Ducking Pdx Torques (have only hit it once on either side), I rarely drill stepping ducking, and Blurry Torque isn't what I'd call my most reliable 6 add trick...

I guess I'm just weird like that  .
