footbag depression (please help)
Get a camera and join online competitions. That way you have a goal to work towards. At the beggining of the month think of a sick 3, 1, 10 that would be pretty dang hard for you to hit and try and hit it on camera over the month. That way you can see you progression. You should do this even if you don't plan on entering a competition, but competition usually motivates me to do things I wouldn't normal think I could.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Explaining footbag to people sucks. I don't bother with it anymore, unless somebody seems really interested. Let somebody else in the circle explain, if there is anyone else.
If it's just yourself kicking, don't shred in public anymore, if there are going to be in-bred morons denegrating your sport all the time, ...... that negativity is bad for your game.
2 or more people shredding = Cool, athletic, talented
1 person shredding = Lunatic

Wow,, this thred is turning out to be a real downer.
Maybe just take some time off, until you can find other kickers (years may pass, incidentally)

Re: footbag depression (please help)
LMFAO~~ I am sure my situation is worst than ulogan wrote:okay heres the deal. I love the sport of footbag but I am starting to question where it will get me in life. I mean it takes countless hours of my time, for what seems to be relatively little results. Whenever I hit something big I have no one to show it to, my mom (bless her heart) tries to act like whatever I did was cool but I'm sure it all looks the same to her. Whenever I tell my friends I play footbag and show them a trick they just don't appreciate the sport. Theygive it no respect really. I am to the point where I pratically don't even tell people I play anymore when i meet them cause i don't feel like expalining the whole process when most people just make me out t be a loser for wasting my time playing footbag anyway. I WANT to want to play footbag, and I want to see why its worth it. Please help me I need pick-me-up advice, thanks for your time guys. thanks
