So my friends threw me a surprise party last night which was one of the nicest things a group of people has ever done for me. Antes de la fiesta some of my closer friends and I hit up a Moroccan restaurant and had a five-course meal. Quite epic, to say the least. Anyway, here are some pictures of the party. Despite the photographic evidence, I didn't really have anything to drink (not my bag). The most incriminating picture was just too hard to resist -- if you read Achewood, you know the character I was immitating. Fantastically enough, the shirt is an Achewood shirt. The other picture in which I am featured next to a vaguelly passed out compadre of mine I am making that face for the camera -- I was not out of my nut being wild and crazy. ;)

Me.

Me, ready to throw down.

Ironically, the face I'm making and the face my friend to the right of me is making are usually switched around. ;)
Image

Me and the people who were still around when this picture was taken. I wish everyone who was there over the course of the night were there to experience that moment of amazing picturesqueness, but oh well.

Edit: As for footbag I had a session Saturday where I wasn't very limber, which I hate doing. Once I warmed up, though, I worked throwing as many 5's midrun as I could. Not a lot of highlights, but I was doing well enough. I'm very happy that Miles will be kicking regularly once more. :D

Satuday was indeed epic. I still wish I cou'dve came to the whole resturant thing, but being poor is lame lol.
I found my sandman in my pin-stripe jacket. I'm hella psyched, cause its my hack/footbag and i've had it since sjff3.
Anyways, saturday was cool. Hoorah for shred. I tried/got close to some cool things, but I don't remember really what they were. I had a pretty epic night afterwards.
I'm out. I need to wake up early tomorrow for school/i'm getting really sick and i need sleep.

So, I came to a conclusion this night, after shredding solo and such: I don't take breaks.... Ever. I just keep trying things until I do them, and I never think about them, which is probably why some of my stuff is a little sloppy. I really need to find afew people to kick with around here. Crikey..
An alright session though, before i got way to tired. To tired to even do mirage>legover rpt.
results...
Flip Magellan! (finally. Took me forever)
Pixie legover>mirage>rpt afew times.
Lots of flip pixie work(tried keeping my leg more inside. That worked alot)
lots of flip atomic work(no more leggy on that side!)
lots of clipper work.
I haven't tried for 60 tiltless in awhile. I might try that tomorrow if I can convince the terrace posse to kick a little.

I hit Smear>Tap bs last night... So everything I said goes right into practicing hardcore makes results!...Right after I posted my whole thing.

I'll try afew of those, Sam. But only a little bit. My goal tonight is to get a new pair of shorts, and to get at least 45 tiltless. So if I get the tilts, i'll go for your crazy challenges...Exept the spinning stuff. I can't spin on my carpet

Sam, I love that shirt. I'm a geometry fiend, although I'm not too good at it anymore.

Where'd you get it?

That is where I got the shirt from. Although the shirt refers to a comic I am indeed a fan of geometry as well. :P

Way to go guys, glad to hear that you're all still shredding. I FINALLY got a place to play, my new work has a nice in-door area that I can shred in, so I'm getting about 4 sessions a week. Call me soon Sam, and we can set up a sesh with the P-town posse.

Hey Nick, where do you work now? I would go to the Sole Purpose blog, but my computer is so lame, it'll probably shut off with this post.
Crazy rainy day today.
I played for like....6 minutes an hour ago. Hit Atomic muted clipper BS!
I might play later, if I get my homework done. Which I probably will... Damn math

I work for Adobe, I'm a entitlement rep... which means I get to make comission after I get done training. $9.50 and hour base, sit down job, walking distance from my house, has a good shred spot, and has it's own in-house cafe... what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, when I move out, I get a 10% discount at the local appartments.... Holy hell I forgot about all the discounts and benefits that this place has.... Love my new job!!!

I'm incredibly envious about your job. I need one very badly. I might be getting one at safeway soon, but its all the way in bothell, and thats a long ways away.

I'm hella sick right now. I can barely walk, i can't talk to well, and it hurts to eat stuff. I hope i'm good for saturday.

Which reminds me....
Sam, Damien told me that Ricky wouldn't be making it to Saturday, but wants to session on monday. And he wanted Miles to come by. You up? Damiens Shred spot will probably be the place, i still don't know exactly sure whats up with it, but I'll explain it in more detail later.

Gonna sleep

I had a session today that was like a breath of fresh air. Miles and I kicked at the YMCA and since the YMCA is starting to extend a little bit of generosity to us after three years of being sponsored by them we were able to use the stereo. Recently I cut off the toe walls on my units and it's revealing a lot about my game. My flipside toe stall sucks compared to my strong toe stall. I spent a lot of the session missing passes with my flip toe stall, but progress was made that will help me big time in the long run. I had a couple sessions before today in the newly modded shoes but neither were revealing like today. I had to slow my game down a bit and just worked on easy stuff. My consistency was crap, but I was playing with great form. Towards the end my stepping was feeling amazing. Very Vasek like form imo. It's going to take a while to get to where I was before cutting the walls off, but when I'm there my game will look a lot different I hope (tempo/form-wise, not trick selection). I'm also, from here on out, going to start every bust with at least two butterflies to set my tempo. This was really helping my stepping combos. hehe I feel like such a newb writing all this, but as I said, very refreshing. What's more, it's been great kicking with Miles again. It's so hard to get pissed around him just because he can completely put anything I would happen to get pissed about in perspective. Some other interesting tidbits that I've been aware of for a while but were brought to a head today were things like having a hard time spinning ducking out of strong side butterfly. The reason is that I have a more flexible clipper on that side so I'm inclined to delay more lazily and closer to my body -- with the modded shoes I can't do this (can't stall near the toe w/o the toe box -- forced to stall in the middle of the shoe on all my moves). Yet I naturally default to that style of clipper on my flipside (ex - ducking butterfly>spinning whatever is a ton easier on that side, still pretty easy on my strong side but the set is definitely not as crisp..). Anyway, that's enough disconnected footbag rambling from me. In conclusion, ladies and jellyspoons... Well, Nick don't expect me to be shredding the hardest you've ever seen me this next weekend.

Peace!

does that mean we get to use the stereo all the time?!?!?!?!?
I almost just decided to shred even with this strep throat killing me slowly.
That actually reminded me... I played yesterday in my slack shorts at Terrace with afew old school names before i had some business. Hit some random stuff:
Atomsmashing inside kick(inside kick instead of toe stall) ALMOST BS
the sweetest whirl I have ever hit on my good side.
Pixie ducking kick  after a million tries
lots of flip smears
afew random runs with some CLEAN illusions.
and I tried some spinning stuff. but didn't do them to well.
This was all in my old ratty-ass 300's lol Only because my climas are all wet
Danny Williams.
