Well, I skate (rollerblade) and I was looking at sifikas. (shoes for rollerbladers-sounds kinda stupid deosnt it?). And I saw the new canvas shoes. With mods do you think that these would be moderately playable?

sure, you could PROBABLY shred in these. getting lavers will show better results. im not jokin. i just got mine today, and ill tell you, ive learned three new tricks since 1 pm... its 7, and i worked for 3 hrs. plus, you can get lavers for a little less if you search for them here... like from lon smith...
BUT if your hell bent on your fruitbooter shoes, they could maybe be modified... hell, i modded my etnies...but defienetly get lavers if you want your game to improve... if its color your worried about... you can sharpie lavers, dye em, whatever... color dont hurt

Although it may be hard to find lavers, it's well worth it.

All that rubber on the toe would make it really hard to do toe stalls.

Lacing up a toe box would be hard since that shoe doesn't have half as many eyelets as lavers.

You'd wanna cut one hell of a brocka

and you'd have to do one hell of a fabric mod in the toe, and insides...and I bet it'd be hard as shit since those shoes are prolly built to take a beating.

Just go get some lavers.

I don't understand what relation these shoes have to rollerblading... By "shoes for rollerbladers" do you mean those shoes with wheels that flip out on the bottom?? If so then you could NEVER play footbag in them... they'd be so heavy that your knees would prolly rip themselves off, yell at you and roll away... it would KILL your knees.

They don't look like they have those wheel things though... I'm curious about thier relation to skating though

Aside from the other comments, I can only say that the sole looks wicked hard and heavy. I can't imagine having my feet in those shoes as they look dense as hell. You could try modding them - I just won't advise it.

Hmm....alot of skate shoes may have many similarities with what, the majority believes, is a good footbag shoe, but aren't skate shoes meant to be heavy and intensely grippy "two of the many enemies of a good shred "?

Just my general thoughts on those shoes :
Cons:
- you can't even see the inside surface
- look heavy
- look stiff
- toe doesn't look very large, rubber on toe will take away feel

Pros:
- mesh
- looks like it has decent support & cushion
- it's black, my fav. color
- most likely has better grip than lavers

If you can't try them out you won't know : how grippy , weight, mod'ability, how surfaces truly are, etc. They do however look like nice casual kicking / shredding shoes for $48.00 . Go for it, and tell us how they are.

I like a lot of grip with my shoes. G-units are proof of that - not as much slipping and less likely in my eyes to loose control and sprain your ankle. Weight, yeah, I can't stand anything that weighs much more than lavers on my feet, yuck.
