Hoping to play tomorrow with Chad and Chris, so I'll go for length.

Very short session tonight, because my hip is kind of bumpin'. I don't know what I did..I'm pretty sure it happened when I tripped over some shit in my room like a clumsy bastard..but who can be sure these days.

Before I bitched out I hit:
  • ATW>Mirage>Illusion>Legover BSOS
    Far legover
Many ATWs? Sure. (Definitely broke a record of some sort, though I never count)
Tomorrow I'm hoping for:
  • Less pain.
    More motivation.

Short session with Sam today in venice.

Hit a good run including symp. pixie midstring that was probably 10+ contacts.

Raced Sam to DLO..we tied :D

My hip is still pseudo-bumpin'....I should ice it.

Doogie Houser, out.

Session tonight at Lincoln with Brett. Good times.

Here's some notables that I managed to hit:
  • Legover x21 (New record)
    Symposium Bubba (First time!)
    Far Pickup (First time)
    Clipper x2 > Mirage > Legover [BSOS]
That about wraps up what I'm most proud of. I hit 14 consecutive strongside illusions..but need to work my flipside much more. I'm trying them in the Jorden-Moir-Record-Session fashion...with very little jumping. Seems to be pretty efficient.

Oh yeah..Brett and I borrowed about 4 playground mats from the local park here. After we wash them off tomorrow they'll be our new shred mats.

Ah ah ah, suckaz.

Thanks guys.

Since Brett is out I'm using tonight as an excuse to rest, cause I'm pretty sure that's all I need. I think it's just bruised, and the bruise isn't able to heal because I keep swinging my hip around in unholy, unnatural ways.

So, instead of footbag, I'll probably end up doing some stitching and maybe play a little mandolin (I just got it restrung..for some reason). Shreedddd.

Can't wait to try out these mats tomorrow..and I'll be sure to go for 1,028,391,341 legovers ;)

Actually I hit 11 on my strong side today..but flipside is probably closer to 5 for an all time record....but believe me, I drill flipside constantly. It'll just take more time and more practice.

Played on the new mats for the first time today..they're totally sweet. Since my balcony has a pretty thin floor, it cushions a lot of the banging below, and just feels more sound altogether. Wise investment (of time, energy, and morals).

A few good runs/drills...worked on flipside illusions.

Clipper x2 > Mirage > Legover > rpt > far legover > legover > mirage ...or something like that. It included those first 4 tricks, but I don't remember what followed the far legover.

I'm getting a lot better at my clipper x2 > mirage > legover > rpt drill..which is good. Clippers feel really sturdy on my strong side.

In other news..I'm kind of disappointed in my January sick 1 and 3 entries (though I've yet to see someone do a cleaner flail in a single clip ...AKA Hackrifice). Next event I guess I'll just have to dumb it down so I can increase my execution..cause I guess that's what it's really being judged on, and not the sickness of it all. Then again, execution can make or break a trick...and, indeed, it shattered my entries.

...Still, if someone wants to shoot a clean of a deep, yet leggy, flail..I'll work on mirroring it. Cause that is tough.

Before I make my way to San Francisco for good times and one of the best shows of my life....

Tonight I had a short(ish) session with Brett and Sanne. Because it's too early to write this, I'll make it short:
  • 19 contact run (footed on the 20th)! Included a symp. pixie, and tons of BSOS tiltless. I was very happy with that.
Paradox bubba (second time ever, and was much prettier than my first)

Touche.

Also, if you read this before I call you later today (when you're awake), I'll be in SC earlier-ish morning on Saturday...and we will sesh hard, sir.

I can't wait to shred with the SCFC!

Now it's time to meet my new friend, with whom I'll be spending plenty of time.....highway 5 ! Yeyyyy........

Oh..and inside delay > no plant > clipper > rpt is fun!

Yeah..I meant paradox illusion. Youz be correct.

Let me write about the session I had with Fletch and Jeremy before I write about the session I'm about to have with Fletch, Jeremy, and Emily (in no particular order).

'Twas a lot of fun, and we went for a while..though there was a period in which we sat down quite a bit.

Jeremy doubled my clipper record, just as promised. I believe it's something like 13 on my flipside now. How did he do this? I'm not really sure; but it might have had something to do with these tips (though his presence has been known to make players better):
  • "Torque your ankle more."
    "Don't be a bitch"
He may not have said the last one, but my ankle/lower shin (what the hell) is definitely sore.

Got pretty close to eggbeater..maybe today, but I don't feel like expending too much energy to hit it.

Hit DLO on my stongside a few/couple times..I really should try my flipside.

Oh yeah..butterfly>infinity (ugly as sin), but it's getting better. Must work butterflys (+clippers in general, who knew?). I'm going to hell because I didn't hit butterfly>clipper>mirage>rpt. Damn..going to hell is kind of a downer.

Later we met up with Emily and Amelia and went to Vallarte, one of the many delicious taquerias (You may know they as tacorias) of Santa Cruz.

Went back to Emily's; heard some fatty DJing; played footbag indoors and got really sweaty (Moreso than is comfortable, at least); tried to learn/be taught osis.

Word. The SCFC kicks ass.

The Santa Cruz Footbag Club rocks. Anyone who is able to go to their jam and isn't should seriously reevaluate that decision, because you'll be missing out on playing with some of the most awesome players I've ever met (Not to mention some of the most attractive  ).

Anywho..the weekend is done, and though I'm sad the fun is over, I'm happy to be home. Yesterday I kicked with Funk, Emily, and Jeremy at The Cliffs in Aptos, a hop, skip, and a jump from Jeremy's home. It's a very nice spot that is not neglected by the sun (Pretty sure Jeremy developed some melanoma), and overlooks the beach. Santa Cruz is a beautiful place, aside from the squatters.

I must say I wasn't too happy with my session, and I can't tell if I raised my standards or was just playing like shit (Most likely, though, it was a combination of both). I did manage to hit eggbeater and paradox mirage on my flipside, both for the first time ever.

Other than that I was just kind of frustrated with myself. For some reason I'm retarded when it comes to osis, and I need to practice it quite a bit (In the correct manner). Also, I may have upped my consec. clipper record, but my consistency still blows.

Oh well, all I things I just need to work on. I suppose frustration can be a good motivator if you let it.

After picking up a beautiful 32 panel GromBag:

Another shot? Sure!

I headed home in a sweaty mess. Hygiene, apparently, is not an issue for me....because, after a long, shitty drive down the 101 (oops!), I just went straight to bed.

In fact, because I woke up late for my first class of the Spring, I didn't get to shower until after my session today!

Jesus, I'm one gross son of a bitch.

Today's session was decent, but remnants of yesterday's emotions (ie., frustration) lingered, so it wasn't that great. Again, I hit eggbeater..threw down the far legover like nobody's business (need more flipside/BSOS!).......but other than that: I need to drill!

In conclusion, I'm going to write up a list of goals I plan to complete in the near future once I have some time...

Oh, and did I mention the SCFC kicks ass (Damn! They're one attractive bunch)?[/quote]

Session today on the deck with B-dizzle. Good times. Before this happened, I cut out of the inside layer of my toes and inside walls. It's super-nice..I'm sorry I didn't do this sooner. However, since I'm wearing two pairs of socks (to compensate for Lavers being as big as clown shoes) I don't feel the bag AS much as I'd like to. So it probably balances out and doesn't matter.

I hit:
  • Legover x30 (That was exhausting)
    Flipside clipper x15
    Flipside Illusion x20
 Strongside clipper x20 or so
Mainly just worked on flipside clippers....must..torque..more. My ankle isn't hurting yet, so I must not be torque-ing hard enough.

OH! Brett and I kicked to 187 !! We were going for 100, so it was pretty sweet. It's either:
  • a. The inside layers cut out.
    b. My beautifully straight-setting Mirken bag.
    c. Practice.
Probably all of the above, though.

Until next time.
