40 pages of footy fun... my blog is now over the hill!!!

If you want to take part in the 40th page festivities, please post one memory of the RFA, an event the RFA was present for, or a favorite RFA footblog moment... It doesn't have to be your favorite memory (although that's okay, too). Just a good one

One of my favorite memories from the past couple years was being at Spike'n'Shred in Jack's back room, after the first night of shred. Jack had a couple mountains ground up on the table, I had just packed up a fat bong, and who somehow snuck himself in through the front of the store to surprise us in the back room but the Executioner himself! The room blew up when he stuck that big PI grin through the door! Pete sat right in the middle of the floor, ripped that bong back, and the party started!!! Then Jack let Zach Hoffa blow 2 huge shotguns off a heady blunt right in his face, just to show Zach he could take it... Which he could, kinda, but he sat a little quieter for a while.

Anyway, that's a fun memory... I hope some others will take part...

No phatty bong memories here, but I think my best RFA memory is when you guys came down and stopped on my house on your way to kick till your sick and we played at the college courts. It was such a weird thing having people from far away kick where I normally do alone. I just remember it being awesome kicking and then you all eating pizza with my family.

My 2nd memory is when i got locked out of my room and stayed in mike anellos room for a night at worlds. I would've had to sleep in the hall if he hadn't been so offering of his couch.

You guys are a sweet club with cool people. I'm happy to have befriended all of you.

I'm finding it difficult to pick a favorite, but one that definitely sticks out is when we arrived at worlds in Montreal. After we had settled in our suite I went downstairs to the lobby to register, and I came back up and walked into our suite. Turned the corner and Matt's chilling in the kitchen with a handful of some of the greatest footbag legends. There was Vasek whom I had never met before, along with Pete and Daryl who I already knew but still looked at them as larger than life, and I think there were a couple others. It was totally unexpected, and while my brain was shouting "YEAHHHH WORLDS!!!", the only thing that came out of my mouth was "uh... hey guys." Just like me.

Hmmmm. My favourite RFA memory would have to have been the first night at KICKASS earlier this year. It was my first event, and I had really just gotten into footbag. I had been gobbling up videos off the internet, and RFA were putting out a bunch, so as soon as I got into Kingston, and saw people from the RFA, it was really cool, cause I had watched videos and been like, "Wow!". Shredding and chilling with the people that I had looked up to in footbag videos was kinda like having a backstage pass to the Oscars or something.

Does this even count?

One of the hundreds of awesome memories i have of the RFA is when Pat, Willie and i drove over to Geneseo to jam with all the RFA members all weekend. Chris Dean was the man putting us all up at his house, and even feeding us a huuuge breakfast. We had some epic shred session and partied the whole weekend.

I could go on and on. The RFA rocks!!

Yeah RFA!

its been a year for me and its definately been an awesome year.

i dont have a favorite but i always love teaming up with the rest of the RFA and piling into matts car to go to an event.

i lied, my favorite RFA thing is weekly sessions. even when everyone was gone for the summer, mike and i rocked out at the tennis courts at cobb's hill. and then one day towards the end of the summer, matt showed up with ryan thomas, weekly sessions are just the best.

Hey RFA, me and matt were talking about a jam for febuary, we were thinking the weekends of 17th-19th or 24th-26th. We were possibly thinking of going to Rome for a zoo shred, but the location isn't decided totally yet. We are kind of short on cash so Rochester is quite a hard trip for us to make. We will see though, I was wondering how many of you could make it?

I have had lots of great memories with the RFA in the past. All good memories, its hard to just choose one memory. The RFA was one of the first clubs I really met. Since then I have gone to every tournament that the RFA has been to and it has been a blast.

My favorite memory is definatly GRASS, I had a kickass time at this tournament. I believe it was my second tournament and I was so stoked to play with all these good people. I was the most stoked for this tournament out of any tournament I have been too. The atmosphere was great with all the jugglers and great footbaggers. Not to mention the party at matts and mikes, such a great time sitting back watching footbag video's and talking with so many new footbaggers. Also, this was the first tournament I competed at, and I will always remember that. You guys are a badass crew, and you throw some awesome tournaments. I hope to see you all again soon, GRASS

, but hopefully before that.

I hope we can have a bad ass Jam on one of those weekends I suggested above, another great RFA memory to be had. ZOOO SHREDDD!!

if any rochester footbag association members want to go to rome on either of those weekends, I can pick you guys up on the way through roch and we can go to rome together. plenty of crash space at my house!

I won't be able to play on the weekend of the 17th. It's going to take longer than that for my leg to get better. The physical trainer said that it would be about a week of icing before I can start doing light activity, let alone any right clippers or dexes. So it would be best for me if we got together on the weekend of 24-26.

I hope this injury goes away soon and stays gone. It is the kind of thing that would be a career ender if becomes recurring; it's very difficult for me to do a clipper now. However, I need to get together for a session sometime this week, as I came across two VERY interested people and got their contact info. One of them is a former MF'er, the club that Rick Denaker started at his high school, and the other one is someone who was hacking with me at a party three days ago and asked if he could learn the tricks I was doing. So I would like to get them started soon before their interest fades, and just limit my trick selection to low-intensity flip toe and clipper moves... my flip DATW, flapper, dragon, gyro toe, and swirl could use more work anyway. Then maybe a week off of regular shred could be a good thing...

and that picture of vasek is freaking hilarious. nice cup of water... we barely made it back into the US with it.

ugg... these tracks need a little more help, they can't be released just yet. only one is good...

I was sore today when I played, but i warmed up after a while... the set was feeling closer for the flip whirlwind, but I didn't have the strength to commit to it. However, gyro was feeling a little better today. It's taking baby steps, but it's getting better. I think dexercising it will help, so I can make sure I stay balanced after I set. That's my biggest problem.

Also, I hit glaucoma (fairy ss DLO) bs today. I wanted to try and hit it b2b... but today wasn't the day for it. I also hit dlo> fairy butterfly both sides, as training to hit glaucoma> glaucoma. what else, oh yes, inspinning osis bs, I might not have hit it before, but it hardly took me long at all.

Hopefully my next session will be a little more energetic.

ps I also hit toe far symp swirling spinning inside, jorden style. Gotta love the personal lesson...
