Nah, my FCl feels fine. It's just that I'm sick and when I do get better I'm gonna spend all my time on hitting my routine. But after Friday, it's on.

So, needless to say, I can't do the talent show. I had to withdraw and everything. On the one hand, it kinda bums me because I would like to make the money and demonstrate my craft, but on the other, it takes off some pressure and stress for getting better, which is definately welcome.
Mono generally has the above symptoms for between a week and 10 days, followed by up to a month of fatigue. Since I've been sick (more or less) since Monday, I can only hope that I will begin to NOT feel so death-like soon. Either way, I probably will give myself at least 3 days from the time I feel completely better till I begin playing footbag again, because mono generally causes an inflammation of the spleen, and any exercise can lead to the rupturing of the spleen, which requires a trip to the emergency room and can lead to death.
So in summary, no footbag for at least 6 days (if I do have mono).
DAMN!!
Im sorry to hear about that. You had to withdraw from the talent show
Get well soon. My mom always tells me to drink lots of water and sleep a lot, but im sure you already know that...
feel free to check out Osaka in the vid section btw...

Hello, blog, it's been a while.
Not much, how 'bout you?
I'm not sure why I called,
I guess I really just wanted to talk to you.
Ahhh, that's one of my favorite songs.
Really though, I must be grateful for my immune system. Come Friday, I didn't feel very bad, just tired and with a bit of a sore throat. I slept in the library an hour during the school day between classes, and after that I was doing great. This weekend, I slept 12 hours from Friday to Saturday, 10 hours from Saturday to Sunday, and am hoping to maybe 9 hours from Sunday to Monday. Already today, Sunday, I feel almost completely fine. I'm still somewhat tired, but the symptoms have evaporated. If all goes well, perhaps I will be playing by Thursday. I don't want to kick before then because I want at least a 3 day buffer of health to give my body a chance to get back into gear. I can't say how much I miss footbag though. It hurts to think how bad I'm gonna be starting after a two-week hiatus... and I never was that good before that hiatus either.
Still, it's nice that I'm getting better so quickly. So I just thought I'd let everyone/anyone know that, yes, I am still alive and I'm doing ok.

Yeah, nice job with the rubberman. Don't know if I'll even have atomics after I get back into footbag, but maybe I can get rubberman by Summer.
Today I feel pretty much completely better. My nose kinda burns like when you sniff ammonia, but other than that, I don't have any feelings of sickness. I was tired, but I took a two hour nap, and I plan on getting around 8.5 hours of sleep tonight, so I should be well-set. Since I technically feel better today, light Thursday kicking is my goal. I just need to keep getting sleep, stay on top of my homework, and eat a lot, and I should be able to at least spend an hour on light kicking Thursday.

As of today (and for the most part the last two days), I feel entirely better. I am, however, rather tired a lot. In case you haven't read, my best friend has mono. So given that 1) Peter had mono and I hang out with him a lot and 2) Brian got mono and I hung out with him all the time over Christmas Break, I think it's fairly safe to assume I would have contracted the virus. Also, taking into account the symptoms I had (i.e. fever, enlarged lymph nodes, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue), I probably already had mono. If that is the case, I don't want to start kicking even if I'm just a bit fatigued. I don't want to put myself at risk to get horribly stricken, given how easily mono has passed for me.
So, as much as it hurts to say, I don't think I should kick tomorrow (Thursday). Friday is a concert, so I wouldn't kick then either. I'm hoping by this weekend I can confidently go out and kick and know that I won't be risking myself.

Going to a Lucky Boys Confusion concert in about 20 minutes. I hope this turns out better than the last one did (read my entries right after Christmas). I'm wearing two pairs of socks, a t-shirt, wind-pants, underarmor, and a hat, but I'm bringing a coat with an underarmor-type shirt in the pocket for wearing after the show.
I'm seeing the show with a guy from my physics class. I was gonna be going there with Mike, but his parents decided to fly him home for the weekend (???). It should be fun, and I'm hoping that since I feel fine today (= no symptoms) and have been feeling fine for a couple days, by giving myself oodles of sleep tonight I should be set to begin light kicking tomorrow. Wish me luck!

As far as the concert, I ended up going with Jon Mueller, a friend of mine from Physics, Chemistry, Variational Calculus, and maybe other stuff. We had a kickin time. The club played AMAZING music before and between the acts. It was a lot of the stuff I have rated 5/5 on my ipod-- "Express Yourself", "Heard 'Em Say", "Killing in the Name", etc.
The club was set up with two bars in the corners and half the room as a dancefloor in front of a stage. As a minor, Jon and I had red X's on our arms and had to stay on the floor. Much drinking occurred outside the floor, so it was "for our safety".
I brought my jacket and was afraid there wouldn't be a coat check. I was right. Instead, I went to the bar right away and asked one of the barkeeps if he'd put my jacket behind the bar. He said he would for a tip, so I gave him a twenty and asked for fifteen back. He was pretty surprised by that, but it made him remember me and the coat check at the last LBC concert was $3 bucks anyways, so I wasn't losing much. Plus, I didn't want any damn one dollar bills.
The opener was a band called "Generation ______"; I never caught what the other part was. They were an awesome opener. The lead singer said and did all kinds of funny stuff, and damn could he rap. I wouldn't mind seeing them again, and apparently they're a local band, cause they said they would be playing with Logic somewhat soon at the same club. Next was LBC, which surprised Jon and myself, as we thought LBC was the main act. Apparently, LBC and a band called Pomeroy were touring together and were both the main acts. We got to the front and were in about the third row the whole hour or so LBC performed. It was a lot of fun although the girl behind me couldn't sing for shit and made the songs a little less enjoyable. After LBC, Jon and I relinquished our third row spots and chilled against the divider thingy at the end of the floor while Pomeroy played. They were awesome! They almost outrocked LBC! They sounded a lot like Rage Against The Machine (my second-favorite band to Lucky Boys Confusion), but without as much anger. They had sweet beats and lots of catchy tunes, and the lead singer could rap so damn fast. I couldn't catch a damn thing he said, but it just made the beats feel so much cooler with that crazy-fast funky-fresh spittin'. I ended up buying one of the Pomeroy CDs, as well as one of the LBC CDs I don't own (although I have all the music *cough*pirate*cough*). Jon and I actually split the cost on the CDs, and he's just gonna burn them onto his computer. I look forward to listening to them when he's done.
When I got back, I took a shower and threw my VERY cigarette-saturated clothes in the laundry basket. Holy crap did I feel nauseous after that concert. All that smoke just made my head spin (part of it was the fact that I am still rather anemic from the mono and jumping up and down for an hour didn't sit well with me). My clothes smelled so horrible I had to do laundry today just to get rid of that smell. Ugh!
I also played footbag, but only for about 30 minutes, cause the AC decided to start closing at 8:30 now -_- Wtf.
I didn't play horrible, all things considered, but I was very angry with how I did regardless. I played in my G-units, and they feel very big and bulky, though most of that is me just not having played in two weeks. I managed to do 10 consecutive same side clippers BS, 6 consecutive ducking clippers BS, 8 consecutive butterflys, ripwalk > blur BSOS, and 11 contacts of mirage > legover > [rpt], but that wasn't very satisfying. I do think, however, that I figured out butterflys better, so that now they're easier to hit (i.e. less effort and less drops). I was getting winded by everything though
I nearly fell over after the ripwalk>blur BSOS run, and that sucks.
I am gonna try to play again tomorrow, but I'm gonna probably wear my lavers. I think one thing that has probably been limiting my run length is that I noticed that, although I can do consecutive ss clippers strongside without any difficulty (20 or 30 contacts wouldn't be hard to do), flipside I am sorta off-balance. I'm gonna add ss clippers to my drills, as well as ducking clippers, so that I can get both of those into shape. I think I will spend a lot of the next week just working dexless stuff like spinning, ducking, and clippers so that I can play longer without feeling weezy.
But it seems like I have no time. 18 units of hard, time-consuming classes is making time impossible to find. I don't expect to be able to play every day, but I hope I can fit it in at least 4 times a week.
I'm never doing 18 units again.

If you didn't read that last post, I don't blame you. Damn it's long.
Anyways, I woke up today with a little bit of a crick in my throat, so I'm taking the day off. Yeah, I know. I played one day and I'm already taking sick leave, but I am seriously tired as balls and don't want to get sick again. I can always play Monday or Tuesday, I guess.

WTF. I played footbag for a half-hour on Saturday, and I'm emmeffing SICK AGAIN. I felt completely better-- had felt that way for several days. Now my throat is sore and my nose is runny. I keep sneezing. GOD DAMNIT. Am I destined never to play footbag?
I think it's cause I have so much damn work to do all the time. Even without footbag, I can't get all this fucking homework done every day. It's entirely cause I have to take this stupid freshman english course, even though if I were in engineering I would have passed out of it in two different ways. So not only am I sick and can't play footbag, but if I were healthy I probably wouldn't have the god damn time. UGGGGGH. I am really hating life. I'm hating mono. I'm hating english. And I'm hating school. I hate everything

Not much to say beyond that.
I'm still sick and still haven't played footbag really for the past 20 days. Today I don't really feel sick, though I was feverish Tuesday night. I would say perhaps this weekend I'll play but I'm really beyond any hope or prediction. I don't mind waiting anymore, but I don't like the idea that even if I wait till like 4 or 5 days after I'm feeling better, I may get ragingly sick again. Such a dilemma.
Oh, and my roommate has, in the last two weeks, become much more of a dick than he already was. He has no comprehension of "compromise", and thinks that it's HIS room. I've been trying to organize playing Smash with my friends around his schedule-- playing in the 30 or so minutes he's gone to eat or whatever, but he still finds fault and tries gets pissy. There's no good reason for it except he is socially maladroit.

Still somewhat sick, though not in a hindering way. My throat is still somewhat scraggly, but only in the sense that it feels filled with mucus all the time. I've taken up juggling as a way to unwind or rewind between studying and going insane. I'm just working on three ball cascade and the two-balls-in-one-hand thing on both sides. I definately am not very good at this point, but it's still amusing and a good way to just zone out. It's a decent substitute for footbag given my position.
It's weird that people around me seem to be getting depressed. It's almost making me depressed as well. Sullen faces and the like. I'm beginning to feel like I'm annoying my friends, or simply not offering anything to keep their interest. I hope not.
