Why does Daryl always write so much in here ?

Keep a diary of what you're hitting, what's frustrating you, and your goals.

it in all its glory soon !

as if i was trying to forget yesterdays masochistic exessiveness, i decided
to just play and have fun today.
I hit some nice runs and combos, despite the cold and the failling light,
and some nice tricks are in my grasp,...maby i can call em mine 2morrow...

duckin legover>smear>run

pixie ss clip>sidewalk>pdx mir>smear>butter>pdx mir>plo>butter>
ri..drop

atomic legover bsos in a 14 contact string
with one guilt

36 tiltless

Yesterday i was meeting up with Max for sum cave shred, and a reverse
paranoiac list of some 3's and 4's, that just begged to be hit on my flip too.

It was a good day for single tricks and combos - runs were so so :

diving butter (flip)

spinning butter (flip)

wonton legover (flip) - :P

both tapping legover

GRIFTER

Hopefully i will shred today too, there is more on my list, plus i'm fiending
for them long, creative runs.

bah ! the only thing ghetto that you've ever done is still living with your mom

GymShred

I wasnt in the right condition for good runs, and i wasnt happy with my butterflies either .
But it didnt matter much - in footbag there is always so much stuff
one can work on, so i did some spins and some single dex sets .
I really dig quantum these days, although i definitly have to treat
it/skool it like pixie e.g - ya know, thinking about quantum drills in
history class, do at least 15 min of it every sesh, and so on.
Like yesterday, i also wanted to hit some tricks on my flip that i've
ignored so far and todays topic was spins :

flip inspinning clipper

flip ingyro mirage ? set>front spin[bod]>op in [dex]>op toe[del]

flip spinning rake

tap>butter>ripwalk bs

tapping pick up>tap>(run) bs

tapping pick up>atom

quantum legover>pixie legover 8) bs

Since two months my game is on a way to a new stage, and naturally
more possibilities means more problems too.
The first small scale shuffle experiences, landing stuff like butter swirl,
pixie tap or torque allowed me a precocious peek into the world of real shred .
I guess everybody who went from tilt- to guiltless went thru a similar
process of " oh wow, did i really do that...i feel like ( insert your idols here)
so and so for the first time", and a second later you finfd yourself smacked
in the face by the realization, that the time where legbeater>blur
is a kool combo is mad short - it's actually standard equipment for
a mature game .

But why am i boring my self writing this stuff - probably to understand
why my combos are that short these days - while i'm joyfully riding
the creative trick wave at the moment :

flip gyro toe

flip toe set ingyro mirage

flip pixie ss rake

plo>wauxpin>short run 2x

dimwalk>gyro mirage bs

ripwalk>ducking butter bs

stepping gyro toe
8)

pixie ducking butterfly rake = my first 6
:D twice !

i know this aint whirlygig or atomic tork, but it felt good and it was
as clean as the board of health, and thats what matters :P

wesh mec :D :D :D +++ the frenzy continues +++

today i had my best session yet . i felt strong and collected and i busted
some longish strings, one run was 20 contacts with a nesessary legover
and one gyro toe towards the end . and i have a stepping set now, i guess.

i drilled everything : clippers, osii, ducking, gyro mirages, -walk trix,
stepping, toe shuffle, dlos, whirls and some funky fours .
towards the end i hit some unreal shit and i was fucking soaring when
this teacher came up asking me if i would like to give her class of girls
a demo :D - boy that was fun ; i talked slowly and clearly, gave them a
rough idea what we are exactly doing, even mentioned adds and showed
them the basic kicks and stalls. The didnt look too intrigued at first, but
when i went for some long tiltless runs, they were fucking ravin' -
it was so funny, you'd never think how much applause a simple
ducking mirage can get  .

I hit atomsmasher and ducking symp mir as finishers, bowed and went
of beaming with smiles .

pixie clipper>dlo>smear>ducking mirage>butter>step lo>
butter>shmoe>smear>butter>ripwalk>pdx mir>run

tap>plo>tap>plo>butterfly>ripwalk>pdx mir>smear>d mir>legover>
gyro toe>butterfly>p mir>catch

ducking clipper>pdx dlo>smear

smear>ducking mirage>butter>pdx mir>smear>ducking mirage>butter

pixie ss pick up>tapping pick up 8)

tap pick up>dimwalk>p mir>plo>smear>plo>run

tap>smear>plo>tap>smear>plo

legbeater bsos bs

stepping osis>stepping legover

atom>parkwalk>short run

spinning osis bs

dimwalk>pdx mir>parkwalk>pdx mir>dimwalk

At the beginning, still sweating out happiness because i feel my osis now
(5), i went got a lil silly and tried pixie legbeater, and for the first time,
this particular set was good, i mean really good -
the two dexes were sharp and distinctive and the bag was still on its way up,
when my feet were already back on the ground .

I forgot all about the butterfly part and just thought about the set 4 a bit.
After this bright moment and 3 tries later i had a really nasty triple dex,
my secrect dream move, off my foot, and i left it right there .

Towards the end of the sesh i hit a mirage out of a chest high sailling set -

pixie atomsmasher:P DOMINATRIX :P sailling op mirage

the best feeling ever .

...i red no a moi mim Markus, aba i denk mia kemma am freitag...

Bea and me had a short and effective trip into the world of atoms -
she hit four new tricks that day .
Three of them were legit and all, but one move - flip tapping pick up
looked exeedingly beautiful and perfectly natural :D
Also big props for getting both legbeaters - they are Bea-trix anyway .

I worked a bit towards a major goal (tripless shuffle ), mainly by having
the best time enjoying the feeling of blur>atomsmasher getting easier .
And i hit a new, long desired atomic combo both sides, sealing it with a run
on my flipside : atomic legover>tapping pick up>butter>pdx mirage>
smear>ducking mirage>run with bops, pixie and stepping 8)
also blur>atomic legover>run on one side and blur>legbeater>run
on the other and three contacts of rubberman, starting on my flip :

blur>atomsmasher>legbeater

Damn, Daryl I leave the forums for a while, come back and see what? Phoenix rake, Dominatrix, cool shuffle combos, come on! :D It's great to see you're having such a good period in you're game. I'm starting to be afraid what you'll be hitting when we meet again :D

In the last two sessions i dabbled into the world of shuffle and i likey
very much . I feel that i get slowly better, a lot of stuff that was one time
only or insanly hard is turning into tools that i can use.
The only thing that irks me is how much i still suck at butterflies,
but maby some afternoons of heavy bop work outs might eventually change that .
Another thing i want to improve is the reliability of my "big tricks"
and the usage of whirl, drifter and paradon...other than that i'm
very happy with the way things are going at the moment -

actually footbag hasnt been this much fun ever :D :

6 consecutive osii

8 plo ( thats my old standard doubled )

rip>rip>rip

smear>butter>pdx mirage rpt>tap>butter>p mir rpt>tap>butter>p mir

dim>rip>p mir>plo>dim>rip>unsealed :x

dim>blur>dim>blur for the first time, sealed with 8 guiltless contacts 8)

tapping pick up>atomsmasher>pixie ss clip>rip>run

park>shmoe>run

tap>dso>run

atomic legover>plo>paradon

Best run ( = the only one i could remember ) :

tapping pick>butter> p mir>atomsmasher>butter>p mir>smear> duckin
mir>butter>p mir> d mir>plo>dlo

edit : thanks Szymon, but you should see Max - this guy is getting more
and more consistant, his links becoming more and more difficult
and his form is just great !

I hope that we can shred very soon and that you will teach me all your secrets
