Daniel's Footblog

Post by DanielWhittle »

Hi Everyone,

I have known about footbag just under a year right now. During this year I had a break but i've been playing again now for around a month.

Recently i have hit some new runs.

Right Clipper>Left Toe>Right Toe>ATW>Left Clipper.

Left Toe>Neck Stall>Spin>Right Toe.

Right Clipper>Left Toe>Right Toe>Pixie>Right Toe>ATW.

Currently I am trying to work on the following:

Left Clippers (They're Improving but i still wouldn't call them legit)
Mirages (I landed a couple starting on my right toe)
Left Set Pixies (My right set ones are perfect so I am Drilling my left ones)
Legovers (I have still to land one of these on either side)
Left Side ATW (I haven't landed one of these yet)

Today has been a very succesful day in my learning curve in footbag.

This morning, me and my dad fully modded my leather lavers and im sure glad I did. They play awesome now and my clippers have improved alot.

I just had an hour shred, mainly drilling some small strings.

I managed to Improve my Clipper BSOS and im gonna soon work on B2B Clippers.

Heres some random stuff i did:

Right Clipper>Left Toe>Right Toe>ATW>Neck Stall>Spin>Right Toe>Pixie>Right Toe> Drop on left Clipper

Right Toe>Left Toe>Right Clipper>Right Toe>Left Clipper>Left Toe
(this was to drill my clippers BSOS)

Id say the first one is quite impressive at my level and im proud of it.

14th of February

I have just been shredding and I have seen improvement in my game yet again.

I finally managed to hit clipper>clippers a few times.
My weak side clipper is starting to become how it should be.

I am really happy that i've managed to do clipper to clippers because this will open my game out to more tricks now such as butterflies and infinitys.

I also worked on my flipside pixies and they are getting better.

Today and the rest of this weak is basically aimed at getting both sides the same for all my moves, and ofcourse drilling my clippers.

The past few days

I have been schooling my flipside alot to make sure i got everything sorted.

I landed my first few flipside ATWs. I can do flipside Pixies good now.

I landed Mirages both sides also.

I am really working hard to get my left clipper right. I am suffereing bad roll off problems but they are improving. Perhaps anybody has tips for my left side (weak leg) clippers, to prevent roll off.

I landed a Clipper set near Mirage (I think thatsd the name)
Right Clipper>Left in-out [DEX]>Right Toe.

I also purchased my lesh bag today so that is in the post to me on its way from alexey.

Anyways comments appreciated. I'd also really like some tips on my left clipper as I mentioned earlier in the post.

Thanks for listening,
Dan

tips on clipper :

make sure that you are able to spot the bag and you got good balance when doing clippers.

You must be able to stall the bag without any difficulties before going to further tricks ( imho )

Watch videos dude and try to look for other players. What they are doing with their hip with their feet , their legs. Everybody got different styles but that the trick work means that all the necessities are ok.

Moreover people who are shown in vids have mastered those basics and I am sure that you will be able learn something by watching them.

Good luck dude

8th of March

Not posted in a while,

I landed alot of nice strings.

Also I have my new toe stall record of 58 and I have been trying to do alternating insides alot to get them stronger.

Hit mirage BSOS and in the same string Clipper BSOS ATW BSOS and Pixie BSOS.

My Flipside ATWs are way better now.

My first 3 adds

I hit butterfly BSOS !!! :P

I am so happy, but I must keep drilling them until they feel as natural as my other tricks.

stay tuned for more :D

1st of April

Not posted for a while now.

Since last post I have been working on my clippers mirages and legovers.

I am trying to drill my insides aswell which will make my clippers more consistant.

I have started having knee pains which is stopping me playing for a while because my knee starts having a nagging pain every time I move it for a trick.

My older brother had this very same problem off skateboarding and football (soccer) and he had it for about 2-3 years. I am really starting to worry because I love footbag and I don't want to be stopped playing.

My knee problems are fine new after a few months rest,

I have been drilling all my 2 adds and I have now found what seems to feel right for my left clipper.

I am just gonna keep at my 2 adds and stay clear of 3s so I can get a really solid tiltless going.
