Ok, nobody seems to be talking, so...

I have 2 riddles. Thought em up on my own. Neither are overly hard.
Get both and I'll make you an instructional video for a trick of your choice.

1) When does 12 + 12 = 12?
Answer: Hours of the day. (ie. 12 am + 12 hours = 12 pm)

2) What pops up once in a while and is usually both hot and cold?

Answer: Ex-Boyfriend or Girlfriend

1) 12 + 12 = 12 when speaking about time. ex 12 in the morning + 12 an the afternoon =12 at night.

2) A seal/walrus/penguin? Because it's warm blooded but in a really cold environment? It pops up in holes in the ice to breathe and to waddle.

The guesses have been pretty good so far. Not quite what I'm looking for though. It's hard to get the right wording when you make them yourself. I've thought of better ways to rewrite it since, but I won't. Here's a hint:
