The Greatest Invention Of All Time

Post by Splint »

What do you consider to be the greatest invention of all time? You can't just say "The Wheel" and let it go at that. You need to back it up with an explanation as to how it has affected the world at large.

Soap! Antiseptics.
Without higine, there was so much disease in the world. It's made medicine what it is today. It's made surgery safer! It's made eating food less of a risk for illness.
It's saved millions and millions of lives.

Shoes. Ever stepped on/through a sharp stick, thorns, rocks, glass, shit, snow, mud, random debris or insects barefoot? Yeah, it sucks.

The hot water heater. After a long session tonight I just took long hot shower, and whoa! I feel great.

Mountain Dew.

Im mean who needs any of these things when one has mountain dew.

You can bathe in it, you can kick it, you can look at it, you can drink it.
Seriously, the only thing that you'll need after mountain dew is like cheese dip or beef jerky.

The Wheel. Without it my last name would not have been possible.

Seriously I'd go with something like electricity - which has definitely changed the world for those of us who have access to it (which is less than half the worlds population).
