Not really...maybe?

If he wanted to pass that other car up so bad, why didn't he use the other side where there was more room?

He drove a SUV, tried to pass someone like douchebag on the right in the breakdown lane and on top of all that wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Poor judgement, too bad. Idiots like these that push everyone else's insurance premiums up. No I do not feel the least bit sorry for him, only for the poor guy who ran him over.

More than likely he was drunk. He was speeding down an on-ramp to enter the highway and was probably also being chased by the police.

I think it's despicable that the guy filming says, "beautiful beautiful" because he's getting a great shot while the guy is flying out of his car.

Doesn't mean you can't feel sorry for someone just because you're able to rationalize that what they did was stupid. This was still an actual person that someone knew and that had family, and saying you don't feel sorry for him either stems from ignorance or you trying to present an opinion that makes you sound rugged. I don't like you, but I'd still feel sorry for you and everyone who grieved for you if you died.

And why would you feel sorry for the "poor guy" that ran him over? What did that guy lose in all of this?

I thought it was kind of beautiful though. Realizing on the 2nd run that that was actually a person flying through the air and hitting the highway like a sack of potatoes is kind of aethestic.

That guy will feel guilty the rest of his life. Even if he didn't do anything wrong. Someone still died under his tires.

As for you . . . you're just sick.

Why would he feel guilty? You said it best. He didn't do anything wrong. You're just as responsible as the guy who ran him over, and in fact you're even worse because you were interested enough to watch the tape of him running some dude over. You found a strange pleasure in the video as everyone else would who watched it, and I'm the only one with the balls to admit that their is atleast some aesthetic signifigance to seeing someone die, especially in an incredibly gruesome way. So either we're all sick, we're all healthy, or I'm the only sane one for pointing out that it refreshing and morality affirming to watch someone die. Dying is fine.

if that guy didn't die i feel sorry for him even more.. who cares what he did that looks like a totally inhumane resolution for breaking a law.

I didn't watch it. I only read the comments in this thread.
Dying is a part of life, but that does not mean it is sane or normal to find pleasure in watching someone die. In my own opinion, that is sick and very unhealthy.

Haha people like you are predictable.

I didn't find pleasure in watching him die. Watching people die is a sad thing to watch. Watching people die, especially if you know them, is a really sad thing to watch.

Pleasure is the wrong word, and I regret using it. I think I summed my point up well when I said it was aesthetically interesting to watch. It was too. That's why the video is on the internet and why millions of people have watched that video since its been on Ebaums.

Stop disgracing the mans death Sen.

Ineresting? Perhaps. In an odd, twisted way.

Refreshing? I can't see how.

Care to explain?

It's refreshing because its mortality affirming. I find a strange sense of completeness is knowing that once I never existed, and that again I will never exist is then sense that I know myself now. In the physical sense. All the problems that plauge you in your Earthly life will eventually NOT EVEN EXIST. This guy in the video has some reason to be going so fast down the interstate, but suddenly, all of his problems where gone before he even realized what hit him. If the cops were chasing him, that's a lot of shit to have on your back. But suddenly it was gone and he was just totally clean, and totally shaved of everything we can EVEN comprehend.

Seeing that everything is cycilic is refreshing to me. Everyone dies and this guy died in a way that made it possible to capture THE EXACT MOMENT OF HIS DEATH by incredible technological inventions. People are going to be watching his death for a long time on the internet. That doesn't sound like much but that's a lot.

Death is only depressing to people who don't understand it.
