This is pretty old footage that doesn't do Derek justice; I just wanted to make a video

Yay! New Derek footage and Erik Video. :) Was that at the... two ships park or something? I don't remember playing there at hackrifice. Such a sweet location. I liked the live sounds on that metal piece in the middle. The beast at the end was sick! I'm going to go shred now! Thanks. :)

Stoic! Dereck is so awesome. Setting and music were interplanetary. The epic shred park in full glory.

Luis: Thanks! What a happy comment :D The music was Aphex Twin, from one of the Ambient albums

Rory: I think you have the right idea :p It was filmed at The Forks -- a marketplace sort of place we often play at. There are a lot of sub-locations at The Forks we play at, this one not so often, but it is really cool. Oh yeah, I was actually going to include this clip where that big metal circle came loose and Derek and Andrew jumped on it at an angle, in unison, a bunch of times to get it back in place; it was a cute shot.

Rory + Eric: As far as I know (and I'm pretty certain) Derek never plays. He's not injured badly like Andrew and I (though he was having some minor knee pain last I saw him). The last time I played with him was a couple sessions back in the fall when he hit void > void, morpheus, etc. I've been meaning to ask him for a couple camera sessions where he would just solo and I would film, since we're both on campus anyway, but we're just both really busy with school (I think that's his excuse :p)

I'm glad everyone liked it.
I do have some more recent footage from Hackrifice 2005, in September (or was it August?), but it was mostly really lame tripod and I never had a chance to filter through it all and mark down all the clips I would choose. I hope to get something done with that footage soon (I have like 3 or 4 tapes worth).

Derek is awesome, no doubt about it. Is it me or was that not the most easiest looking Gauntlet ever?

Thanks for putting out this video Erik. I really wish we could meet up sometime in the near future, as it was great being able to play with everyone of you at Hackrifice.

Cheers :)

very nice vid.

I've seen that setting in Andrew's Jully 2005 vid (one of my all time favorites) but I didn't know it was at the forks! I don't recognize that part of the forks... In the Andrew Grant 2004 summer vid, I knew for sure that it was in the forks, but... not this time. Can't WAIT to come back out to Winnipeg. You (Eric), Derek and Andrew should all act like Joel and come to Folk Fest!!!!!! ...early bird tickets are not even that expensive.

keep it real

Been searching through old videos and such.

This one was awesome. That shred spot looked way cool.

The last combo in this video is off the friggin meathook. A nearly PWF beast, the last trick was something almost no one hits, ever. I loved it. I replayed it like 10 times, ZOMG 8)

Is Derek still injured? You hackrifice guys seem to be some pretty perseverent mofos with both Andrew and Eric back playing again these days. I hope this guy gets back into footbag. I've watched some other videos of him and I really dig his style a lot.
