Slap Hackers 1st Annual Open Tournament

I am going to this and bringing Megan and Wong with me. I talked to Chris Hall, and he said it probably isn't going to be big (I know there's not a lot of civilization in Warren, PA, haha), but there will be him and about a half a dozen novice players. The way it sounds, they don't post on modified, and only seem to know about footbag.org, so I figured this could be a good chance to show a few circle kickers where freestyle can go. Besides, this place is probably a half-way point between Pittburgh and Rochester. So, Aric, Caleb, Matt Cross and everyone else should show up and have some fun.

I'll probably only go to this if a lot of players decide to make the trip. So if you're going, post.

David

(EDIT: its 5.5 hours from me, i really doubt my parents would be down)

Hey,

I was planning on visiting Erie around this time. I could possibly make it to this.

I was going to show up without saying anything else about it, but I know how important hype is for events to get larger. I will definitely be there, maybe with 1 or 2 people from Fredonia. It's only a 3 hour drive from Rochester, just so my friends know. Can't wait! see you guys there.

I'll most likely be there too. But if Dave goes, there's no way I'll pass up getting Cleaved.

Thanks for showing me this Josh.

I may make this one, haven't been to an event for a while and I don't see any other East Coast events anywhere in the near future. I'll see if I can request a Saturday off or something- I'd just like to know who else will really be making it and some more info on .org since all I know is this place is in Warren, sometime on the 11th

I don't think Chris expected much response when he posted this on .org. Actually, I don't think he expected any interest at all.

http://wasu.home.westpa.net/index.html

That's the webpage for the venue. There's a gym in there so we should be good on size. I did some research and found out there's a Holiday Inn about a mile and a half from the venue and then a Super 8 not far from that.
well there is a possibilty of the tournament lasting 2 days so it will be a possibility of late shredding
there is a gym
there is an entry fee of 5 bucks to pay for everything but you only pay if you are competing (but theres a prize)
if there is any more questions or ideas please feal free to send them

Hood, you make it to the Burgh and I'll drive you the rest of the way. Same deal as funtastiks. I think I still have some of the snacks you left in the backseat of my car anyway.

Only way i'll be going is if I get my car fixed this week. I need some new tires, and a buncha other junk. Since it's so close to the event, I'm not even going to try to take off work for respect to them. If I do go, it'd be right after work...So that'd make me get there at like 6-7. So most likely I'm doubting the whole thing.

I'll definately be there alive Saturday.

This should be fun. Warren isn't as close to Erie as I thought, but I'm down to hang out at the Warren Area Student Union to play footbag.

Is there really going to be net there? Seriously?

Does the host know about real shred or will his mind get blowed up?

I know I'm posting a bit late, but if anyone is willing to give me a ride I'm so down to go to Pennsylvania for some shred. :)

Haha, I'm pumped. Jake and I will be staying the night up there. Are people going to be there Friday night too? Or staying Saturday to Sunday? I'm thinking the second option, right? I want to be there when the action is.

Well...
I got my car fixed up, so if I do come that way , it'll be Saturday around 6-7 pm. So try and save some shred for me, I'll also pick Brad up. I'll have to double check a few things to make sure it's game. Saturday night shred with some sunday shred sounds good... Don't know what the plans are officially, but there shall mos def be some unofficial shred.
