Crushed Panne 4-panels-Good Filler?

I'm stitching 4 pannel Crushed Panne bags-and am wondering about good filler. I have copper coated bb's, aquarium rocks, lead shot, and plastic poly pellets. Sand is hard to come by [in winter

] and I'm giving a bag to a girl tomorrow [all pink] for V-day

Any ideas ?

bb's or shot with poly pellets are both pretty good in 4 panels.

fill it with ur hair clippings to show how much she means to u
I'd go w/ polypellets and lead, but BB's and aquarium rock would probably be good too

It went great

. It sets wicked too. The panels are puffed so it looks silly, but plays nice. I hit smear first try barefoot

so far i've only used sand - i filter it to get the big grains so it doesn't leak. are the polypellets the same ones in the crochet bags?

I threw in plastic poly pellets, aquarium rocks, and copper bb's.
I might try just lead this time around-but I have to ration it

what i use that is really good is....

dried out rice so it breaks easy and lead shot it works really well once broken in

i was thinking about rice as a filler, but i wasn't sure if it'd have the weight that the sand does, i thought it might be lighter

I have used rice for my bags before, it is very light so you will need to put something else heavy in there too.

thats why i use the lead shot because its small and heavyier than the rice it works out as a really good combination i think

i used rice on the first bag, but i can to realize that after awhile the bag seems limp and dead...so i used poly plastic bbs(as a light filler) and then filled the majority of the bag with lead shot it works awesomely! my bag weighs in at an earth shattering 38grams i thinks that thats the perfect weight for my bags =)
