Question about Facile

on Field fabrics, there is 45" wide and 58" wide Ultrasuede light. I was wondering what the difference is and which is the better deal. the 58" has more colors and is an extra $10 per yard. i have absolutley no experience with fabrics or anything, so this probably seems like a stupid question to some of you. help would be greatly appreciated

Josh: An extra 10 bucks a yard is nothing when buying 1/8ths of a yard of fabric. You're talking $1.25 extra per color. Very much not a big deal when buying 1/8th panels. Basically, you're getting an extra 13x4.5 inches of fabric, which is decent, but not horribly significant. Based on the fact that it makes little differentce, I would go with the colors you like as opposed to price.

I spend more than most people on Modified because I shop for fabric at a store, not online. It's more expensive in this store. The reason? I get to pick out the colors I want by seeing them and touching them. I run into the same thing where some fabrics are 59 bucks a yard, and 69 bucks a yard. If I really like a color, I don't mind spending the extra 1.25, and I will also get a bigger panel for that money.

i usually have to shop for it online seeing as how you cant buy ANY kind of suede where i live the closest place t buy it is 500 miles or more

Yeah, I'm really lucky the store's only about 7 miles away. I'm contemplating going by there tonight...Rolls and rolls of beautifule facile.

Thanks chris, thats what i thought. i was just wondering why they had different colors in the different sizes. i wasn't sure if one of the sizes were thicker or what. How long does a yard usually last for? im not sure if i wanna get a full yard or half yard atm.
