A Bad Bag?

Last year, when i was first getting into footbag, and hadn't found these forums or .org either, I bought a footbag that was a 32 panel design.
At this point I hadn't had any education on what was best for beginners or anything, I just liked the look of it.

The footbag is white, red and black and can be found here.

Its the Maxima bag.

1 year later and I have 2 Mr.Sandbags, a pair of lavers and this 32 panel footbag.

I noticed that the colours mix, and basically make the bag look crap.
Also, A knot has came out of the bag and is now literally hanging out.

What I want to know is...
Do the colours normally run when washing a 32 panel bag?
Should this knot have came out like this after only 1 year?

I haven't played this bag all that much because I am a beginner so i use my Sandbags.

I've personally never used that bag, but I gurantee you its not very good. It looks like it's just some machine-made bag. Hand-stitched 32s are much better than this Maxima thing. Also, the colors shouldn't run, although the bag will probably get very dirty. (I'm talking about hand-stiched there)

Your machine made 32 says it's filled with plastic pellets which is definitely too light for a 32 to be filled with and be playable. This bag will not break-in properly. A handmade 32 from the stitcher's contact list would be a good place to get a new 32 if you're ever in need of one.

This bag is still good for hacking though

The colours run because of the material and the knot came out because it happens with normal wear and tear. Facile (ultrasuede lite) should not run when washed. This is the material most pro-stitchers use to make their handmade 32's.

Don't toss this bag though. Practice kicking with it to warm up before shredding. It's still a bag you can play with. Don't sweat it.

When you're ready, invest some money on a nice handmade 32, but right now you have 2 sandbags to shred with and that 32 to hack.

This is totally true.

I got my 32 panel in a combo on a similair kind of site, and it was filled with plastic pellets.

I played it and wondered how i would ever get decent if toe stalls were soo dificult...

Got a bag from a stitcher on here, its smaller, heavier, and i toe stall it almost without thinking.

I bag from the stitchers list is definitley the best idea, i have my josh raye bag, and its like my best friend now haha.

I didn't want to sound like a newb making this post, because I already know this probably was a bad hack (machine-made).

I was mainly wanting to know whether a real 32p would run, and whether the knot shoulda came out.

When i washed the bag once the colours just ran out and into eachother so now it looks crap.

Oh, well atleast and can still use this stiff crap for warming up my shred.

Im getting a lesh bag soon I think in blue/baby blue so that should be real sick

You better take care of that lesh bag if you're planning on getting one.

I've only seen yellow Amaretta suede run when washing it (even in cold water!) so you best be careful. It's much more delicate than even facile or crushed panne, so wash gently and play carefully.

Also, no toe scuffing/toe pick-ups (just to make sure)!

alltho,i must admitt i got the ammaretta version...and...baby...i never will play it,so i never will have to wash it,but i thinks...amaretta is a fine material or bags.
but stick to the facile bag,it will serve you very well!

edit:one of my bags just lost a know.i mean,it hangs out now.but i think thats very normal when the thread gets loose and the bags panels are so worn out that a small knot can slip throug.i just stuffed it back in!

Daniel, do a review on the facile model of lesh's bags! I really want to see his skills in Facile, so post pics and tell us how it performs! And be sure to tell how long those models break in!

Have you tried lesh's [super] extraminis? Super fine bags they are! They're as small as a nickel if flattened!

i think i once talked to lesh bout getting a super extra mini...wanted to trade one for my superduper extra minis...but i´m not sure,gues the connection was cutted before we could seal the deal....uhm...got to ask him again...are the minis playable?

I am still in contact with lesh, and I think he is making my bag around now so he gonna send me a pic when its done I think.

They're super playable! Just really light to get used to, though. Maybe they're stitched too small, but it's good to have for novelty purposes.
