Anyone ever thought about making a 32 panel beanbag chair...

in the same style as your average 32 panel footbag? Beanbag chairs rock for just relaxing in, and the material used for them is soft to the touch. Just a thought, someone could probably make a little money by selling them. I've never stitched a thing in my life though so it might be more trouble than it's worth.

What would labor cost to make such a thing?
materials?
shipping?

I used to have a beanbag soccer ball chair ... kinda the same, except each panel wasn't stitched on ... it was just the pattern of a soccer ball on a beanbag

32 panel beanbag chair would be easy peasy with a sewing machine and some time. Maybe I'll take on the project when I get some time. Tom and I have totally thought about this before along with pillows. It's a neat idea.

I think that shipping cost for something like this would be enough to make not worth making...

That said, I think I'll make one for myself some day! It'd be sweet.

That's what i figured the main drawback would be. Good luck if anyone decides to try this though.

Break-in time would be ridiculous...although I guess it'd prolly bust out pretty huge if you sit on it enough.

The bag could be shipped emtpy and filled by the receiver. That would save a lot of shipping costs.

a few years ago my friends and i made a 12 panel footbag beanbag chair. the only problem was getting the right filler.

haha when i first started reading the thread, i thought you meant a 32 panel footbag, with the filler as the stuff in beanbag chairs, but then i realised you meant a 32 panel bean bag CHAIR.

At my local Wal Mart you can buy Bean Bag Chairs and the fill sepratley so If I make one, I'll just pick some of that up. What kind of material should I use??

When i had a beanbag chair as a kid i eventually got to see what they used for filler in them from abusing it so much. They're basically like styrofoam pellets. They're not fun to work with because they stick to EVERYTHING because of all the static charge they build up.

I'm sure you could just buy a huge bag of foam/packing material. It would probably be much more cost-efficient.
