Thats a good point about people saving themselves for competition... i was kind of disappointed with some competitions in Europe because there was very little shred during them, and you dont get to see some of the biggest names playing very much.

Obviously this isnt any kind of critiscism of competition or Europe or whatever, its just i was expecting more shred and stuff and it didnt happen so much because people saved themselves for comp. Which isnt a bad thing!

I used to be afraid to compete because I would always get all nervous and screw up. But the only way to get over anxiety is to just keep doing it until it doesn't bother you anymore. So I plan on competing at every event so I will be ready for Worlds someday. Also, it's good to pay the entrance fee because it's money that is going to help the event organizers cover costs.
