*damn no edit button*
And all of you are getting wayy too personal now. There is no need to start arguing over a stupid thing like god.

And Dan, to be honest, i dont give a fuck how good looking you are, how many friends you have, or anything else for that matter...it has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

Why does a fight always happen when people bring up beliefs about god!?

I was scared of hell when i was a child. As for today, not in the slightest tiniest bit am i scared of a manmade motivation to stay righteous. Not even a little bit. In fact, i don't think i can put into words how little fear i have of a so called hell.
Watch Bainbridge come back and say something like "who are YOU to say you aren't scared of hell??"

Yeah, but if you knew that Hell really existed you'd be afraif of it. That's like saying you wouldn't be scared of a rabid wolf if you were locked inside a cage with it.

When someone pins you down and you can't argue against thier point you shift things around to make it seem like they misunderstood you, but that's completely transparent to anyone here
Show me once where I did this in my thread. And don't pull any bullshit out of your ass either. Give me an honest example of where this happened, and I'll prove you wrong.

And to the people saying they aren't afraid of Hell, that's as silly as saying you're not in general afraid of the afterlife. You all try to appear so rationale and reasoned, but you know truely that the unknown and fear of the afterlife drives many things you do daily. To claim otherwise is pure lies.

why cant you just accept the fact that some of us dont believe in an afterlife?

for me, i believe once we are dead, we are dead, that is it. I dont bother myself with worrying about what will happen when i die. I will find out when i die, and that is not for a while, so i will live my life how i please :P

Lol... Dude. Where have you gotten the opinion than I "can't accept some of you dont believe in an afterlife". I've said many times here that their is no way for me to prove God actually exists, and I'm only speaking from my own personal opinions. Don't try to demonize me and make me look foolish, especially when you're trying to put words in my mouth.

Dan --

I'm sorry, but you're just flat out wrong. I DO NOT FEAR AN AFTERLIFE. I know (or know without a shadow of a doubt -- whatever semantics float your boat) that there isn't one, and hence it does not scare me. You need to stop putting words in my mouth and then saying that I'm a liar if I say otherwise. It's silly. I do not gauge my actions by any sort of afterlife concept. I choose what I do day by day and plan for the future, which TO ME is not an afterlife, but the rest of my life.

That was easy, and i didn't even have to go backwards in the thread. You're not really that smart dude, happy for you that you think you are but from what i've seen you've got nothing more than an overblown ego. I'd be willing to bet you're actually not that attractive either based on your own intelligence evaluation. Spell an extremely common word like "necessary" correctly and i'll take you seriously.

i was about to put the same quotes as dontlikespam before i realized he already posted. you completley contradicted yourself man. And i have absolutley no fear of this "so called" afterlife. Why do you believe that you know how everybody feels about anything all the time?

We're both intellectually inferior though, we just can't grasp his logic because it's far too complicated.

There is absolutely nothing contradictory in what I said in your post Dont.

Believing in an afterlife and beign afraid of an afterlife are two different things. If you can't understand that then their is probably no way I can explain it to you.

Hahaha. "Intelligence evaluation"? What the fuck does that mean. Don't think you can just throw a stupid term that sounds smart into your post and expect me not to call you out on it. And since when does intelligence correspond with looks? What are you even talking about dude? Get your head out of your ass.

Oh, and in regards to the whole spelling correlates to intelligence thing...

"Including quality of spelling as a criteria of students' writing proficiency is unfair, Gentry (1987, p10) says, since "expert spellers are born, and cannot be developed in school". Thus, he submits, there is no significant relationship between correct spelling and intelligence. That is, the "visual memory" necessary for proficient spelling is "not a skill one can consciously acquire". Neither is learning the rules for correct spelling effective as a way to become a good speller, he cautions teachers. Children learn more from "free writing", Gentry continues, than from engaging in spelling "exercises" or other formal instruction. Moreover, "doing well on spelling tests" does not mean "competency in spelling" is being developed."

It means your own personal view of how intelligent you are. I assume you know what the words intelligence and evaluation mean respectively. I'll also assume you can easily understand how the two words fit together, and you're just attacking the phrase because you're a douche that got owned.

Speaking of assholes, you just made the claim that spelling reflects overall intelligence without actually looking into it, and got proven wrong. You forget that I'm uber smart and can smell bullshit from a miles away (Mainly because I'm so use to having it come out of my mouth) and I can tell when people haven't checked their facts.

And if you honestly think I'm worried about looking like an asshole, well then, I don't know what to tell you.
