"While many people call it hacky sack, that's actually a brand of bag. The sport is footbag. Enthusiasts have turned it into all kinds of hybrid sports -- like footbag golf, footbag racing, and footbag net, which is like badminton.

"Footbag is a sport. A lot of people treat it like it's just a game or a toy. But it's a lot more than that," Lindley said."

I want my news channel to put this fact out there...it's basically 95% of the U.S. that automatically tags the general look of footbag with the name HACKY SACK. *gags*.

Id say the best thing about this is, that it was shown to be a sport and not a game or brand name.

Another step to making footbag well known.

about two weeks ago i went to a physics competition (i know im a nerd :p)
but there was a news channel there filming it, and in it we made catapults that had to launch footbags, and the people caught me and my bro on tape, and they played it on the news during the description of a footbag, it was only about 20 seconds of watching me and my brother suck, but it was still promotion and it was cool, we told them of how its an actual sport that people participate in all over the world, they thought it was cool, and i gave them my name and the school i was with, and they said they might contact me in the future about a segment on footbagging =)

props to you guys though at least you have footage

Hey when is the Texas Footbag League gonna get together to shred? The Houston scene has exploded since the last time we had a statewide jam.. Shit I'll drive over there right now if the weather isn't too bad there and you guys are ready for some serious shred..
I'm soooo ready to shred right now. We don't have enough hardcore players in Houston that take it as seriously as I do.
Give me a call or email or something. You can find me on footbag.org as Stoke also.

That's me! I love how it says "Jesse Lindley, Footbagger." Talk about the best title you could possibly ever have! It was great to be able to promote footbag as the great sport that it is.
