I'm out of touch with the latest info on this topic:
Heel issues and chronically sore big joint (top joint) on big toe on both feet. Which shoes would be shreddable and still helpful to foot pain? My lavers are killing me.

I bet you you'd be better off with the new balances. I'm no expert, and I'm really just assuming here, but the G6 looks a lot like the laver, whereas the newbalances just look like comfy running shoes. So when I think about what would be the most supportive footbag shoe, New Balances definitely come to mind.

For the G6s, and on your chronic toe problem, I would stray a bit away from these shoes. Lately, I've been feeling some heat (pain) on my right big toe whenever I play in my usual Goonitz. Probably because I laced them too tightly or the Spencos insoles are too big and overlapping at the end - I'm not sure. However, it must be because of the eyelet mod I did to mine and the tight lacing that's causing the problem.
If you just do the generic toe mod (with toe walls) and the usual inside cut, you should be fine. I haven't experienced any toe problems from the Gs that I modded just recently.
Also, I've heard Climacool 1s offer the best in heel, traction and shock absorption support in comparison to the Rod Lavers and G-units. You might want to check them out in your size. I think they go a size smaller than Rod Lavers in your size.
