i used .80 for both with a 30% difference and it came out pretty good, but it depends how much you gather and how deep you stitch the material. good luck.

It works for me. Last time someone posted that it didnt work i saved some dimensions that i thought would work. So im all set.

I suggest you do the same next time it works for you. That way your not left with a ruler and protracter.

Sorry for the possibly horrendous amount of noobness in this question.
I've never made my own footbags before, but just ordered my first materials. The measurements using this program that have been said to make layouts, is that sizing for 32 panels? that seems huge? each panel at .8" wide?

you stitch inward from the edge, making the bag turn out smaller than the template.

plus, your gather will also make the bag .... gather up... into a smaller ball, instead of a large, ungatherd ball.
