modding NB ct-520's

What would you guys do to mod these. I've heard good thing about them as shred shoes. Thinking on making them my next pair as my love of lavers in waning. What is the general consensus on what needs to be done?

Cut the ugly NB sign off the side to give you a cleaner outside area?

There is already a topic about this, but here's what I did to my 520's to make them better:

1)Take inner foam and second layer of canvas out of tongue and instep.
2)Cut blue padding back to the heel support for a bigger area to feel bag.(helps alot IMO)
3)Cut inner padding out of tongue
4)Cut side wall stitching.
5)Took "N" off both insteps
6)Added Shoe-Goo Clipper railing.
7)Laced 'em up. (hoodshouse style works best on these IMO)

I added spenco insoles because I'm pretty heavy, but the stock ones are not too bad.

After all of these mods the shoes become much better. After playing in them for a while they make lavers feel like walking on cement. The only drawback whatsoever is that the materiel is a bit stiffer. After some time though it will break in a bit and you'll get used to it. Overall, great shoes.

The easiest way to mod these is to just cut holes in the toes and insides where you want the stall spot to be. Put a thinner material over the holes with some hot glue.

Remove all the padding you can get at from the tongue and inside ankle area.

Actually it sounds to me like someone is about to waste some money on shitty shoes. These shoes are actually some of the worst shred shoes. material is too slippery, bad stalling area, cant wear them around cause to make them shreddable you have to ruin them

PLEASE DONT GET 520S.

i had them, i thought i didnt like lavers. I fell back in love with them after using 520s

I think the reason he's getting these shoes instead of lavers is because he had size 87 feet or something. The 520's were the only shoe he could find in size 87. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: I just realized size 87 might be an actual size in some other country. I just mean he's got giant feet.

Lol. No, I can wear lavers just fine, granted just barely (I'm in 14's). I just enjoy messing with different types of shoes and the lack of support in the lavers seems to lend itself to possible injury. I thought why not enquire?
