Does anyone else use this circled area as one hole? I need to know this-not for myself-but for the three people I'm teaching to stitch. Please help me help others
Thanks all!

I stitch twice at that spot.
edit: i dont even quite understand how that would work. how would you make the stitch through the hexes?

I don't share the stitch.
If your stitching & gathering is even it could probably make a good bag though.

Me too. To make things line up nicely you would some how have to make the 1st & 2nd and 7th & 8th stitches on the hex share the same holes as well.

I'm thinking about something... and there is a very high chance it has something to do with footbag.

For a few bags back when I was just starting to make 32's I had a communal hole but I soon realised it was a bad set-up.
You basically can't get the hot sharp corners with the communal method.
