(Those who don't care about my life story my question is in bold)
I suppose I probably already know the answer to my question (practice/set the bag strait up seems to be the answer to 95% of the questions asked 'round here) but I guess I just need some advice more as encouragement that anything else.
I am HORRIBLY unbalanced. The only moves I can do BSOS are clipper/butterfly/legover/pickup/mirage/and osis (maybe a few more but my memory sucks). While my strong side has more or less mastered Pixie/X-Bod Rake/Whirl/Swirl/Stepping/Drifter....
Anyway lately I've been suffering from some fairly serious ankle issues so high impact moves especially on that ankle are just not possible. So with that knowledge I decided to go back to basics and train my flip. But I find that I just can't get my flip to catch up. Swirls/Whirls/Illusions/Pixies/Stepping and even ATW are difficult for me to do flip (though I've hit them all). I can't link my tricks on my flip worth a crap, and when I get tired/bored of dropping the bag every 1/2 contacts I go back to using my strong side and my flip only gets farther behind.
So I just want to ask people who've had the same problem of badly balanced legs (good one side/bad one side) what have you done to get yourself back on track? I thought of putting ankle weights on my strongside to discourage use of it but that seems extreme. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the long post.

I had simlar problems about a week ago cos i couldn't do my flipside ATW or Pixie or Mirage. My flipside clipper was also very weak.
I just had to school it and school it over and over and then eventually i improved all of them drastically.
You know what to do because you can do it on your strong side , now just teach it to your weak side.
Just stick with it and the finishing result will be amazing.

I used to do this one exercise a bit, it seemed to help out with the same weakness that you have. It's pretty simple. Just stand with your strong leg on the ground and do many consecutive flip inside kicks without putting your kicking foot on the ground at all. Try it with stalls too, or even doing inside>clip>inside>clip>, just try not to put that foot on the ground to regain balance.
It really works the muscles in the support foot and lower leg, which helps with balance while your flipside foot is in the air. You will probably feel the burn after as little as 20 kicks, so if you can do 100 a day for a couple weeks you will probably see lots of improvement. Also try not to hop around too much; the point is to keep one foot solidly on the ground while kicking because that's where the real workout comes from.
Anyway, it helped me out considerably so give it a try.
