Footbag: Case Study

For English class I need to do a Case Study. We're supposed to find one creative person and look at their work, compare it, and find some constant in their work. I've decided to do footbag players as a whole. I need to find a common thing in all of us. Why do we all do this sport? It brings in no money and takes up days and days. What brings us all together, and what constant is there inside all of us?

I would've posted this in the Homework Help subsection, but decided it wouldn't get as many views and it wasn't really "Homework" Help.

Extreme love for the support

the support of the community is very welcoming

almost everyone in the sport is nice

its the only sport were you can hang out with pros and they can teach you how to do stuff willingly

=)

PROGRESS. There is nothing like the satisfaction of hitting a new trick. It's something that the more you do it, the better you get, the better you get the more fun you have so the more you want to do it and the cycle continues.

Several reasons:

1) It's something to do-during lunch at school I have an hour and a half [all 4 lunches] to do whatever I want. Most people eat in the lunchroom [the cafeteria is disgusting] while I choose not to. Others fuck up the halls-screw around-mess up the surroundings-etc. I have something to do with my friends and it's a positive thing

2) It's the only form of exercise I get-my abs are awesome even under the winter padding I have-and it's the only form of exercise I enjoy

3) Footbag is great for my mental health. I feel good every time I hit something new-a great run-or something silly.

4) I love to perform and I meet cute girls this way

5) I can take it everywhere-I even stitch during class

6) The community kicks ass. I always know someone will help me, and likewise-I'm always willing to help where I can. We're so diverse that I know I can cook tofu with one shredder and have a beer with another. It's great to have a place where you know there's friends to eat and drink with

7) It's fun

Because if I don't play the little man in my head looks down his nose at me in no uncertain manner...

That pretty much covers all of it, I think. It's a catch-22, I love it even more because not everyone does it, but I have no one to play with in my town which sucks..

Would taking the community as a whole be breaking this limitation? Don't want to fail on a technicality now

Personally I think you'd do better choosing one person anyway, but if your teacher is cool with this and you want to then good on ya
