Though Russia will be a very different opponent from Canada and the USA; the new rules are better for teams that are very technical and not that physical - no wonder that Finland and Russia beated the USA and Canada (everyone has probably noticed how many penalties they've given in this tournament?).
I just hope that Finland will get a two-goal lead in the first period and then hang on for the rest of the game, Russia may be a bit more technical.
Their weakness is the defence and the goalies I think, Finland's got at least Antero Niittymäki even though the defence is sometimes sleeping.
Didn't the whole state close all the schools so that the pupils could watch curling? That's kinda funny.
But yeah, Canada won big time. Team Finland played imo their worse game in the whole tournament. But congrats for the winning team.

Sweden won their semifinal match. Now it's either Russia or Finland against them in the finals. I hope the situation of 1995's Worlds will come again and team Finland shall beat our hated neighbours, Swedes.

Yeah, good call, Anssi! I've noticed this too. Its like they only have one kind of trick (spins), and even with just one skill to master they still only do it on one side. Yeah, freestyle footbag owns figure skating.
Still, I was digging on some of the balance moves that Sasha Cohen busts. Stuff like, most skaters would ordinarily use their arms to support one of their legs held straight up in the air, and she was holding a leg up over her head without using her hands to help support it. I thought that was cool. Did anyone else pull those kinds of moves? I don't know, since I didn't watch much skating.

Haha, yeah. The bronze match in curling was funny too. It was between USA and Great Britan. Damn I hate that british accent "HAAAAAORT!! TWHREE-TOO!! HAAAAAAAORT!!"
Finnish ice hockey team beat the shit out of Russia yesterday! 4-0
The bronze match is today isn't it? Between Czechs and Russians. And oh boy tomorrow at 12 GMT (isn't it? it's at least 3pm in Finland) Finland and Sweden will be in the gold match! I'm sure there will be a lot of emotions involved in that game, since both think losing the gold to neighbours isn't an option. Silver will be a total defeat.
In seven matches Finland has done 27 goals and only 5 goals has been done behind Finnish goalies. I don't know the statistics for Sweden, but they lost to Russia at least.

Finland did the only goal in the first period. Then in the second period our game was all messed up because of so many penalties.
It was 2-2 when the 3rd period started. Sweden won the face-off. THEN THE FIRST SHOOT ON GOAL WENT IN.
The rest of the period was bloody exciting... but goddamned no more goals. Fuck I hate those Swedes.

The way that it's set up, is that the first number beside the country is the number of gold medals, the second number is the number of silver, and the third number is for bronze. The last number is the total medals won by that country. And of course, no surprise seeing big ole Canada at the top 3. Wooo! Olympics!

STEVEN BRADBURY: Going into the race I was pretty confident there was going to be some sort of crash, and I was very confident that I'd pick up a bronze medal with two guys going down but I never envisaged four of them going down.
SCOTT BEVAN: Steven won not only the gold, but also a host of nicknames, such as the "accidental medallist" and "last man standing".
STEVEN BRADBURY: I don't mind having a little bit of a joke made out of things.
I'm the first to admit I was very lucky to win the gold medal.
It took me a lot of work to get it, and I'm 100 per cent convinced I'm a worthy recipient of it.
