Just an advisory that I'm aware footbag.org is down. Unfortunately, I'm in Denver for CSS so I can't just go downstairs in my house and fix it.
A friend is going by my house in a few hours (i.e., around 3 or 4pm California time on Saturday) to try to reboot it. If that works, it will be back up in just a few minutes after that.
Else, if it's more serious, it could be down all weekend and into Monday. I'll post an update this evening if the site is still down. This is the story of my life; footbag.org has only gone down a handful of times in its 11 year history, and 99% of the times have been when I've been away (e.g., one time it failed horrifically while I was in Tahiti; another time I got a call from the FBI while I was at Worlds in Montreal saying we'd been hacked by particularly nefarious hackers). What fun.
Oh, and before anyone offers that we may have been hacked; that's definitely not the problem. I believe it's a hardware failiure on the main disk drive. Rebooting sometimes solves it. Obviously I need a standby machine -- anyone in the Bay Area have time and energy to help me build another machine and figure out all the stuff you need to do to link the databases and whatnot?
