Mid Top Laver Moding

Post by sidekick »

Do you think mid top lavers are mod-able, by that I mean are you able to cut the top off, and make them info a normal pair. Then of course you can do all the normal moding to make them shred able, but I just wanted to know if I could buy them and save about $20...

I don't think that would work very well....
You would be cutting away a lot of the structural integrity of the shoe if you are modding mid-tops. Midtops are also shaped differently and i don't think you'd be able to keep the shoe on if you cut off too much of it...

No. I mean, technically yeah, but you'd have to like take a hacksaw to the whole top of them, and then stitch that shut or something. Way too much work for 20 bucks IMO

The model for the shoe is extremely different and the wanted support won't be as satisfying as it would be with normal Lavers. Plus, that's one huge Brocka mod you can't afford to risk doing. And then you'll have to on the tongue...

Just don't buy mid-top Lavers.

Thanks for all the comments and posting, it's pretty much what I thought the result would be, but I just wanted to mkae sure. I just bought a pair of leather lavers to test (b/c my nastase shoes were feeling great, and I love lavers) plust they were cheaper than the mid-top ones. so all in all, a good idea to have made this poll and waited :D

I would wear the mid tops simply for style. Do a toe mod, and they're winter shred shoes. That's about all they'd be good for if you ask me. Otherwise, just get regular lavers.

I got the black and white leather ones. I plan on cutting off the leather sides and toes (of course) but then I'm going to use sharpies and put some kind aof design on them, and then sharpie the rest black again so they don't look so dirty.
