It's most likely Amaretta suede, Josh. That's what lesh used before he got a hold on some facile.
The stitching looks tight, but really uniform. I hope it breaks in well.

bag 7! started it last night, and finished it just now. it's 35 grams, and has little fill. it's not perfectly round, but my evenness, stitch placement, and closing stitch have all improved in the last 2 bags, so I'm making progress. Now I've got to order some facile, I only have enough left for one more bag.
this is fun!

Crushed panne is pretty good if you're going to try stitching anything between a 4-6 panel footbag. It's what Mr. Sandbags are made out of. Dirt cheap at fabric stores, especially in the scraps bins. In fact, scrap bins are fantastic for different materials to try to make footbags with. Go experiement.
Any kind of thick synthetic upholstery suede would be good for higher-panel bags before you want to invest in facile. Again, look in scrap bins at fabric stores.

thanks Peng,
I've made one bag a couple of years ago with the kit you can buy from worldfootbag.com. That material was weird, it felt all sticky and stuff plus it was hard to use, maybe it was just me
Seeing as I have a bum leg right now, I'm gonna see about getting into stitching.
Thanks again Peng.
