I'm voting for a new video to be made for this occasion. Whether it's a bunch of people shredding specifically for this purpose or if it's a bunch of clips taken from other pre-existing videos; there's no way that you'll find The Perfect Video for this... even if you do, it's fun to make new videos anyway...
I don't wanna take away from the huge apeal that a bunch of dexs have on an audience, but I think that alot of ducking tricks would also be key. You'd obviously need a little of everything, but I think it would be good to go a little heavy on ducking tricks... they look sick
Allan Hagget! show them some of allan's serious trials stuff, the like water videos are ill! same with the stuff from footjam! include bails, like the Kickass video where matt does superfly> rolled ankle.
i'd say the into to Sick03 with the whole "Drink" song is pretty intense and extreme. when ever i want to show people what footbag is i show them the intro to Sick 03 intro because it's really hard core... dunno how you could get that to them though...
I think we should show them hardcore shred with MANY dexes with BOTH legs. It seems like we are still afraid of how the public is not going to see what is going on and that we should show them more body dexes.
Bullcrap I say!
I remember my first video. It was Telocvicna 4 and Diktators were ripping that gym apart! I did not know what the hell was going on back then but what I did know was that it is hardcore and that it MUST be hard.
I believe that the world is ready as it can be for the "shred".
Highlight the global appeal of the sport.
Maybe have some interviews between shred clips with footbaggers from different countries. They can talk (in their international accents and languages maybe with subtitles for non-anglophones) about what the real appeal to the sport is and why it is something to be discovered. Also the two things that people will find impressive is string length and trick difficulty. Maybe show a series of easy moves. Then show them all formulated into one massive trick. Since busting massive stuff won't won't fully be appreciated to the eye of a non-footbagger, break it down for them, let them see each individual trick it takes to be able to do bigger tricks, let their perception of the sport evolve in a series of short clips....
