Climacool Review!

Well i've had my climas for 2 days, and i wanted to make a review, so here it is....

Pros:
Light like nobody's business!
cool, stopped my sweaty feet from sweating
abnormally gargantuan toe box.....in fact more like a runway
mesh is very thin, allows feeling the footbag through the mesh
low cut inside, (does not need broka mod if you tie it fairly losely)
full range of ankle motion
speeds up your dex's
awesome foot arch support, no additional insole needed
very soft shock absorption, jumps are basically absorbed

Cons:
Dry/brittle grass can go through the mesh (causes no damage, except irritation)
slightly sloped inside surface which may require a bit of tooling around with your sets(if left unmodded)
arch support does take a while to get used to (trust me you will love it)

Are you shredding in the grass? That can call for an injury. And the insides are amazing. Did you shoe goo the gap in your Climas?

What exactly is "shoe goo", and does it come in a white (ie shoe white) colour?

shoo goo is a sillicon like stuff that is used for fixing holes in the shoes sole!as far as i know it comes in black and clear...

and for the gap mod on climas.use silicone.i think its lighter than shoo goo.and less expensive.and no,its not needed that you have a hard sturdy inside like shoo goo would make it,you dont walk on the inside,right???right.so save yourself a few bucks,get silicone and from the savings a beer or two!

yeah.but if i ever get new pair of climas i will maybe try in the outside too.or is change my dragon style....i just dont know how it would feel like if the outside is modded too,surely heavier.but i think if you use your outside a lot then you should try it.in the end,if its crap you can cut the silicone away with a sharp knife or something!

Shoe Goo = too stiff
Silicone Caulking = perfect gap filler

I don't recomend tieing your shoes losely, that is begging for a fucked ankle.

Do a brocka and tie em tight.

Tom uses clear window sealant silicone caulking. All weather is best.

silicone caulking works really well. Clear polyurathane caulking works really well too, ands its paintable

on my first pair i used shoe goo and with my shuffle-stomp style and heavy ps whirl use i ended up really hurting my arches. they were bruised in the end and walking was a little on the painful side after ps heavy sessions. there was no give to the shoes after that, so stick with the silicone caulking. i'll have to look into the all-weather stuff, thanks peng.

One thing I noticed : He completely is biased.

For example on the landing deck, he takes Rod Lavers without the landing deck modifications, and then the Clima's with extreme modifications, and claims that the Clima's easily win. -_-

EDIT : Actually , I noticed he cut off the ridges. Still though, the areas behind his lacing method cuts off plently of space.

Want me to take some pictures of lavers modded in ye olde stylee fashion next to my climas?

The point I was making is that it's bigger regardless.

The landing deck helps, but the point that the Climas have a freakin' sweet and huge toebox proves Tom's claim over the Lavers in this fashion. I mean, even if you mod the eyelets off of the Lavers, you're still left with the moderately-sized toe that they have. Climas are designed differently and have the advantage in providing more space for the toe.
