Favorite books?

I really liked The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson and Galápagos by Kurt Vonnegut.

ok, i like reading under these conditions
1. it's not forced
2. it's an adventure type book
3. it's less than 300 pages

haha (not seriously, but i get intimidated by big books

anyway, we've read some books at school this year, but i don't really have the time to read fully some of the books that are assigned (i'm sure you guys undersand) anyway some good books that i have read halfway and loved and never picked back up, read some and sparknoted the rest, or actually reading the whole book

- The Count of Monte Cristo
- The Hobbit
- The Call of the Wild
- Night
- To Kill A Mockingbird
- Wish You Well
- Hatchet, Hatchet's Winter, The River (a series, a boy gets stranded in Canada somewhere, has to survive)

Has anybody read the book "the game"

It details the underground world of pickup artists.

A bunch of nerdy inteligent guys who lacked the natural ability of attracting the best looking women studied and mastered the art as if it was a competitive sport. Even if you have a gf you can still learn alot and LAUGH ALOT about this book.

The book is completely true and they go into full description on how to handle every and any situation with the a female. They prove their skills by fully detailing getting Phone number closings with britteny spears and paris hilton.

no bullshit completely true and an extremely amuzing read.

I'm really surprised two people listed Galapogos as one of their favorite Kurt Vonnegut books. It's been my least favorite, and I've read about 3/4 of his stuff. I'm just curious to the two people who said they liked it, what was it about the book that you liked?

Dude I used to post on the board that that all started on 5 years ago. If you think people here are obsessed with footbag, you should see how obsessed some of those guys are with banging tons and tons of women. I got what I needed out of that whole community, but I couldn't stay involved for long, those guys are nuts.

My Friend Leonard - James Frey.

I read this literally in one sitting. Fantastic amazing book. Sequel to a million little pieces and a really good counterpoint to mlp. Everybody should read both.
