shin splints suck..i suggest new insoles..pick them up at any cvs, walgreens, walmart..anywhere cheap..resting them also helps..and the good ol stretch...try walking around on your heels..it stretches them out a bit..you might beable to figure out other things. good luck.
I hit that...

Rehab has begun.

I am playing for about 15-30 minutes everyday by myself trying to regain strength, and I guess it is going alright. I have been trying to do all of my tiltless moves at least 20 times (do 5 or 6, drop. do 2 or 3, drop etc).

In my downtime, I watched a lot of footbag and gained a much more interesting perspective on style. Therefore needless to say, I am trying to basically, now that I am back a few steps, relearn a lot of what I had already thought I had dialed.

I am making a rehab video with all my tiltless tricks. I hope to put it up and get ripped apart.

Things that still hurt:

1. Anything where I have to point my toe all the way down, or out.

2. Anything where I have to torque my right ankle in (Right clipper)

3. Symposium moves that land on my right foot.

We'll see how everything goes..it's good to be back. You really don't know what you have untill you loose it. And I must say, not footbaging for 2 and a half weeks made me feel like complete shit.

it's.been.forever,

I've been having what seems like bi-weekly sessions with big add, fletcher, and dave. All of those cats are amazing in terms of string lenght and consistency. It seems that everyone in our circle is working on completely different parts of the game. which at first is discouraging, but when it's all said and done, it's great to see the posibilities.

I have no idea where my game is at, but I do know that I oftentimes trap myself hitting something one side. Example: PLO, PPO, Smear, Dimwalk, Parkwalk, Smudge, Drifters, Double leg overs, and now stepping.

I start really trying stepping two or three sessions ago. Last night I ended up landing ripwalk, blur, stepping far legover (?), and what i believe is a crispy torque (left set clipper, right leg step, left foot osis). Anyway, I can step the bag with left leg maybe one out of ten.

I plan on starting solo sessions working those flipside issues.

Left set: PLO, PPO, Smear, Smudge, Dimwalk, Parkwalk, DLO, and drifters.

I want torques so bad.

hour session with dave tonight.

tried slowing things down and hit

legover>mirage>legover>mirage>planted atw out-in>planted atw in-out>pick up>planted atw out-in>planted atw in-out>clipper>far legover>clipper>far legover>clipper>pdx mirage>clipper>pdx mirage.

after that, some lady came by with a freshly shaven german sheppard.

after that i tried to hit

clipper>clipper>clipper>same butterfly>clipper>clipper>clipper>same butterfly>same butterfly>clipper>clipper>clipper>same butterfly>same butterfly>same butterfly.

but i missed the last same butterfly.

the mats slipped often = dave ate shit.

Footbag tonight was great. The mats really conserve energy and allow a very pain-free session. Nothing that great to note other than ripwalk bsos, which felt great, and finally hit the drill I was trying for a while ago:

clip-clip-clip-ss butterfly-clip-clip-clip-ss butterfly-ss butterfly-clip-clip-clip-ss butterfly-ss butterfly-ss butterfly

I leave for school soon, hope to have as many sessions as posible.

Error, lazy footbag blogger:

Have had two sessions with Ben, the best up and coming stitcher in the united states. Really, his bags are so awesome.

Worked a lot of stepping the first session, hit ripwalk bsos, and stepping same mirage both sides. Worked mostly tiltless moves this session, trying to get my game Fletcher Funk status.

Fun times.

Session at metlox with ben, good times. For some reason I played very well tonight, everything was just flowing very nicely. Ben's awesome new bag probably helped a lot.

Nothing cool to note, footed my sick three twice

Close to 3 hour session with Dave.

Had some nice fun long strings, nothing too interesting to note. But here goes:

I bought my plane ticket to Seattle to go to school. I've never been north of Monterey, CA.

Just got to Tacoma. The air is too pure, but i'm not begging for pollution just yet. It's really beautiful up here, and the people smile and open doors for eachother. I have been the only person walking around on a cell phone, which on the surface is great, but makes me feel alittle weird.

I had a solo session on our track, drilled basics, listened to music, and just tried to have a good time by myself.

My single dorm room is kinda too large. I could probably get a circle of 4 or 5 people going here. They could also lay down on my bed if they were tired. I'm hoping to find a bus to seattle for a rain city shred this weekend. But I have a feeling that I have business to take care of at school. We'll see.

Peace!

Have had another two solo sessions. 5 minute warm up on the bike.

Trying to keep the game clean

 keep my osis flat
 keep my symp moves delayed
 keep trying to do pixie set moves after awkward moves.

fun times.

Suhweet. Keep the solo shred alive, and get out to Seattle as soon as your schedule permits.
