Big circle vs small circle

I know there was allready a topic on solo shred vs circle shred.
But.

A few moments ago, my shred buddy told me how great it would be if only us two would play tommorow. At first I thought he was talking nonsense but when I think about it...whenever there is a big circle, I feel great. More stuff is happening, different styles mix up, there are more ideas and suggestions.
But on the other hand, you can wait pretty long for your turn and you easily cool down in that time. Or you keep a string in your head for the whole circle, try it a few times and pass on. That is not cool shredding.
I dunno...and if we play "control the ball" (one drop and pass), there is simply too much pressure involved. Perhaps this is not as big problem for pro players. But I sometimes drop a basic Butterfly and it is REALLY frustrating to pass the bag after that.

And on the other hand, we have small circles (or let's say 2 players). Of course, more people equal more fun...but (in most cases) when I play 1-1 I have better, more intense shred. I don't have time to think about anything else. I play, I watch co-player, I play again!

What do you think?
More or less? Or does it depend on the occassion and players who make that circle?

I agree. I prefer to play with one or two other people for shredding. If you're having an off day and it's taking a long time to get back to you then it's frustrating and discouraging.

3 or 4 only. I get cold in circles of 5.

I like 3 the most personally.

Two is the best, for me. Three, tops. It just gets less personal beyond that, and not everyone gets the same amount of attention.

Perfect circle for me is 3 or 4 people including myself. I can rest between strings, and not get cold.

I like sessions that opperate out of the 'i-formation' more than circles, and I think three people is ideal.

Are you serious? If you can teach your friends the basic stalls, clippers, ATW, it can get interesting.

Shredding with atleast one friend (Sometime I do it with my dad) is great fun.

me and 2 others is prime

+ the 2 other kids i shread with are pretty much the only kids that i like to play with because it is just crappy play when you have really sucky people in your circle

I like three person cirlcles as well. Its best with either two ther people that are at your level, or one guy who skools you and one newb to skool. I love being pushed by other intermediates, but sometimes I wish I had more people around who would be able to show me new tricks and concepts.
