Upgrades to footbag chat?

There are sometimes really great conversations in the footbag chat (www.footbagchat.tk). The sad thing about it is that usually nobody is there. When you open the chat and see that no-one's there, you simply close the window. Ok, so we have this thread here in kicking circle that should lure more people to the chat room at the same time you are there.

I was wondering could it be possible to code some counter that shows how many persons are logged on the chat at the very moment? There is the shortcut link in the upper corner of modified index - could someone code it so that it shows if persons are logged on at the moment, like you see who are logged on modified at for the past 5 minutes.

Darn the text ended up being a little bit messy. I hope you get my point.

Is it possible? Could someone do it?

Some people don't even wait to bother to have the "user list" load.... or they probably didn't know it was loading

i'm no programmer so i have no idea on how to create such a thing. I did some searching though and someone made a mod that integrates sigmachat into vbulletin and does what u guys want and more. I couldn't find one that would do this for phpbb though.

I actually made a webpage that had had two frames. One was footbag chat and one was the forum, so everytime you went to that page, you could browse the forum and chat at the same time in the same window. Unfortunatly, the chat that we currently use is not resizable, taking up most of the screen.

Mike said he can find an IRC based thingola - I forgot what it was - when/if he has some time. Then this should be possible.

Oh Moxie, you're such a tease. Everyone can enjoy the new FootbagChat room by clicking on the link in the upper right in the header of the screen.

You can check and see who is chatting right next to where you see who is online.

I'll do some modified specific customizations to it later, but this should be good for now.

Let me know if you have any problems with it.

Way cool. Not only is the chatroom a huge upgrade in function and look, we now can see who is on , which will only make chat room conversations bigger and better

. It'll also not allow the dicks who come in with wierd names like 'Vasek' or 'Mahoodsucks' or 'Chat' , etc. etc. to just pop in for no good purpose.
