If you never discovered footbag...

Post by Larson »

If you never discovered footbag what do think you would replace the time spent playing footbag on.

I would probably replace it with another physical activity, like some form of martial arts or maybe frisbee or something.

I'd be smokin' pot and playing videogames.

No, scratch that.
I probably would have killed myself.
Honestly.

I don't play much now and play guitar a lot so maybe I would have done that. I don't know though. It definitely helped me to stop being lazy so I'd probably still be lazy and doing nothing. I do know I wish I had never gotten the girlfriend of my second year into playing. It severely disrupted my game for a year or so

I'd be playing more poker. Online and IRL games. Blech, it's fun, but no exercise and it can get stressful!

If I wouldn't have found footbag, I'd probably have found LARPS and normal-awesome table-top RPing sessions.

Not that I haven't found them anyway. It's going to be more of a question druing the summer. Come Saturday, choices are:

1. Work.
2. Shred.
3. Bashing random geeks with PVC greatswords...

Damn. Such hard choices!

Or I'd be around level 75 in FFXI(MMORPG) in multiple jobs and unlike Waylon would have had a considerably lower GPA.

More than likely I would have take up body building, just cuz the only reason I haven't worked out since 9th grade is cuz I wanted to stay thin and light for footbag. Of course this probibly would have led to me ACTUALLY getting a "popular" girlfriend and turning into a complete jock, not ever meeting kick ass people like Lon Smith, Jim Penkse, Daryl Genz, Sunny Freemon-Genz, Red Huasted, Noah Jay Bonn, Brian Cooper, Sam Potter, james Randall, Danny and the rest of the Seattle Crew. And of course all the people that I've shredded with, but not really gotten to know or chill with too much. All of these people, while eccentric, are the FUN kind of people, and those build-a-prep warehouses where the girls are all cheerleading sluts and the boys are all jock ass-holes, where everyone wears abacrombie clothes is so cookie-cutter let's follow the newest trend so that nobody thinks less of me mentallity seems very depressing to me. My life is differnet becuase of footbag, a life where I'm able to be myself and not worry about fitting into a clique, becuase footbag players are TRULY all different people.
