Wow. In all seriousness, I know how to take care of my bags and haven't found any problems in washing them, especially Mr. Sandbags. Like Jesse mentioned, it's the finer particles that are being washed away. The coarser variety will stay in your bags, and will not have any much of an affect on the bag's performance whatsoever. Plus, i also mentioned that you should quickly wash them - meaning that you don't need to be so fervent like you would for a 32. It's not the end of the world if you're careful.

And no offense, again, but I'm betting the reason some sandbags die much faster in other people's hands is NOT THROUGH WASHING. Clearly, rough-housing, toe pick-ups or the dreaded toe-scuffs may be in effect before washing is ever a danger to Mr. Sandbags.

Calm down Waylon, I was not attacking your ability to care for a bag. But lets get serious. When you wash a bag, yes, the finer particles are washed away. However, a lot of times, these things are not lost as quickly unless wet and washed away. That is the point I'm attempting to make. don't get your shorts bunched, no ones attacking you.

Though you seem to like to attempt to insult me. Guess you win.

I disagree with this completely. Unless you are stretching the fabric open, this is not true at all. I think we all understand the concept of a sandcastle, yes? Wet sand is moldable, and will not flow like dry sand will. How then, can you say that wet sand would leak away faster???

Like I said, only if you are stretching the fabric. Which, obviously, is a bad idea.

I'm not pissed or rushing to insult anybody, but just frustrated on how many times this has come into a discussion for washing bags and the "detrimental" effects that come along with it. There are no detrimental effects if you're careful, like I said.

Plus, I was being concise on what I saw in your side of the argument. I didn't mean to sound like an ass in it at all, really. :? :P

Really though. In either case, it hardly matters to me. I play with 32 panaled bags. A sand bag is what I consider a "renewable resource" at least in this case. 7 dollars is nothing compared to the money and time it costs not just purchasing a 32 panal but getting it to "choice" status.

That being said, I'm still solidly of the opinion that one should not bother with washing a sand bag.

I would never wash a Mr. Sandbag. They're just too damn cheap and they last a decent length of time. I never got into using my facile version, so I don't know if I would've washed it or not. Though they're fairly inexpensive as well.

Sandbags = never wash

32panel = wash when it gets krusty and dirty.

A general rule is never to play with wet footbags and play in wet conditions. I had a 32 panel that was perfect, and i played in the rain with it with no toe pickups. Huuuge hole

ps Wasabi's post didnt sound "angry" or insulting at all.
