GO TO THE MONTANA FREESTYLE JAM!!!!

Post by habitat »

Evan Lovely Writes:

Official 3rd Annual Montana Freestyle Jam Dates:
Saturday & Sunday April 29th & 30th, 2006

http://www.footbag.org/events/show/1137695903

This event is shaping up to be the best yet. We have a different venue this year: Caras Park, the premier venue in town. SO many people will be there. We should have dank micro-brew and other vendors around. Caras Park also just put in a kayaker's wave this year, so there will be a new freestyle this year.

EVERYONE will have crash space. If it's one thing we have in Montana, it's space. :D That, and rides from the airport. Oh, and...

Peter Irish is confirmed

His ride across the country is courtesy of the University of Montana
Honorariums are cool. But not as cool as Peter Irish at the Montana Freestyle Jam.

I wish I could post every little thing about how this Jam is going to be the most epic, extraordinary, explosive, evolved, event ever. But I can't, cause I'm too busy getting things going and coming up with that alliteration.

Here's a panarama of Caras Park, our venue:

going to talk to the crew to see if we can make it.... I might have to skip out on worlds this year so that I can hit up the tournies here and get a better feeling before I can go to worlds in '07.

I'll be at the Montana jam for sure! I wouldn't miss it. Were planning to have the Idaho Jam a month later. May 30. Im not sure if we should have it right after the Montana jam or a month later. What do you guys think?

I am definatly skipping out on worlds this year, but the plus side is I'll have all this money to spend going to EVERY jam on this side of the Mississippi!!! You should totally have it in May Jim, just cuz that'll give people (and by "people" I mean "me") enough time to save more $$ to come to that jam and then a couple weeks later to the Santa Cruz jam. Holy Hell, three jams all in a row! this summer will be epic. I'll also have to talk to Red and get the Portland Jam back on this year, and then of course all the seattle shred... hmmm maybe too much shred?

I THINK NOT!

I really hope seattle will come to Montana, along with portland. It seems to be a phat jam in the making. Who else is coming ... ?

an e-mail from Peter Irish:

Evan,

great to hear from you. thanx for the email. i would love to be at your jam, and there is an excellent chance i can make it. my only obstacle is the getting time off work--so let me confirm that first and see how much time I can actually get off.
I'd love to be in the public show and do some kick-juggle. If it works out for the spring thaw event I'd love to do that too, but it all depends on how much time I can get. At the very least I'm pretty sure I can get that weekend off. I'm excited to check out Montana, hang with you guys, shred and party! Thanks alot for inviting me and offering to pay my ticket. That's so cool you guys got $1500 from the university--sweet! I anticipate that my ticket will only cost a few hundred. I'll look around this week and see what kind of prices are out there right now.

So I will be in touch with you soon Evan and I'll let you know as soon as I know something--hopefully by the end of the week. Thanks again and I'm already looking forward to it, in fact I marked it on my calendar the day I got back from shred symposium-hA!

It will be an actual event. We will post official dates soon. Its gonna be more of a big shred than a tournament. It will be here at the Freedom Shredquarters.

Montana Freestyle Jam is not at Freedom Shredquarters, it is at the University of Montana. Don't confuse the MFJ with the Idaho Wesak Festival ...

yeah me to fo sho
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.
