Those shoes look really good! Definitely put some silicone in the instep, and they'll be choice as all hell.

Be sure to show us the finished product.

They look pretty heavy. And I don't think silicone caulking will do much for these shoes except for adding a rail. They look like they could use it with the curvish instep.

Maybe trim a bit off the tongue so you can get a tighter fit. Then lace them tight so you don't twist your ankle and such.

Still recommend Lavers. :?

These are lightest shoes I have. They're meant for cross training so how much heavier could they be compared to lavers?

Yeah, the way I lace them they are nice and snug.

they're good running shoes... as long as your not running for very long. I mean, you can run in them and all, but going running in them isn't so hot. I've never done more than a couple miles in them, and even for that they just don't offer the right kind of support.

You're right. I guess I'm speaking on behalf of my Lavers with the sole pretty broken in, and Spencos insoles. It doesn't provide the basic design that a usual running shoe would have.

Haven't gotten my hands on any silicon yet, but I found some silver sharpies and just started coloring.

nhan, those shoes don't look too bad, especially with those mods. If you find yourself dropping your toes a lot and you find that frustrating, it might be time for lavers or climacool 1s. How are they going?

My toes are pretty good. I can go do consecutive toe stalls from left to right. My ATW aren't too bad either.

I do want a second pair of shoes though. I just picked up my paycheck from a long time ago when I got laid off, but I forgot about. 45 dollars + 19 I have right now should be enough to get me a new pair. Maybe some lavers to satisfy some of the folks here.

The shoes you have on right now seem to have a pretty hefty toe, so maybe Climacool 1s might be awesome for your shred style. I'd take up on Matt's offer ot get those shoes. :P
