When Should I Start Sitching a 32 panel?

I've made several 12's and 4 panels, i am perfectly satisfied with my 12 panel, i'm gonna order facile asap! I'm tired of sitching low panel footbags, and I want to move on to my 32's!!!!!!

I've only stitched 32s, so I would say start whenever you feel like it. Is there anyone around that can teach you? having someone to guide me for the first half of the first one really made a big difference. In fact, all the difference.

i made 2 4-panels then started on my first 32. Like Matt though, i had someone guiding me through it.

ok well i don't have anybody guiding me through it, but who knows, maybe i'll come up with at new technique! But I have been doing nothing for the past 3 weeks except to look anything sitching related, so I think I'm ready....wish me luck....

If you have a webcam, I'm pretty sure you can contact one of the stitchers here to visually help you in your stitching. Hopefully not too grainy of a visual.

Check out the Stitching tutorials in this section, and the Sewing section on footbag.org. From there, just logically go through the steps. ie. cut out 12 pents, 20 hexes, start at the first hex and stitch hexes all the way around the pent. Make sure you go through hex to hex on the corners. Good luck.

You know about www.kingstonfootbag.com Griffin. The 32p tutorial is up. I'm getting the last of the schematics and photos done for the blind-stitch tutorial as we speak. The glover's needle I sent you will serve you well.

If you can stitch a 12panel pretty confidently, I think you can definitely stitch a 32. I always suggest stitching 4 panels before 32's because 4 panels let you practice the running stitch in straight lines which is essentially, all you need to really know to stitch a 32.

i stiched one 14p and then 32panels after that. I made quite a few 32s with the hexs with the equal sides. they are much more of a pain compared to the triangular ones.

I made two four panels, and then 5 twelve panels. Then I got really impatient and started on making 32 panels, and took my 32 skills from 'EW!' to '...whoa'
within a year.
